Wouldn't blame you.

Only people who eat Cajun or Creole food would know what the heck they are. Although in restaurants they are listed on the menus as "crawdads" or "crawfish."

Cute!

The cat does not look to be in distress. Perhaps the crawfish got its fur or claw.



Crawfish are yummy!
 
Never forget...we were "crabbing", caught quite a few blue crabs. Our dachound loved to bark and play/chase them. One got out of the bucket, and bit right on her nose! She was running around with that crab until we could get it off.....
