battery problem

After purschasing new HP Pavilion notebook last spring, I noticed that my laptop power stayed at 0% even though I was on power for over two hours. I checked and noticed this...plugged in, not charging. I tried to be reinstalling the power management software has just fixed it for me after unistalling the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery. Fail! I think that charging circuit may be bad. Help me or return it to factory under my warranty??
 
Send it back to company under warranty.


Mostly PC laptop's battery are junk and cheap. That's why they are afford. You should get Macbook in first place because their battery is awesome!!
 
I have two battery pack. one is standard and other is extended.

Not sure, it seems like driver issue, you can try back up and re-install OS if works, if not then ask The Highlander or send to HP.
 
you sure you plugged the battery into laptop properly? it makes "clicking" noise/feel when properly inserted.
 
I disconnectd the AC adapter and removed the battery from notebook. Then I replaced battery into it and press power button. Checked battery meter. Meter is full now. Finally work it with battery power. :) That s weird!

It was just what I was to tell you that, but you already got it now.

It happened to me about twice before.

Just take the battery out then put it back... and feed it with plug on only if needed. Then it will work fine.

It happens once a while for some laptop owners, eventually... quite common.

I recalled one time I powered on my laptop yet nothing happens at all then I had to take out battery and put it back on and it started. It wasn't the battery dead in the first place. Weird, yup! lol

bummer? but you are very lucky that your notebook is recovered.. My lovely woman 's (2008) compaq 17inch blew and I believe that compaq's mainboard is dead.. I took it to bestbuy, they said laptop's motherboard is dead. she use it for 10mths. we can't find receipt for her laptop. Compaq is under HP products is rip off people's money..
 
I knew it! I noticed mostly PC laptop with GPU that cause issue due overheat and burn out on the motherboard.

You are not only the one. Few of my friends who own laptops with powerful GPU and some of them burnout and some of them keep freeze all time.
 
I remember and it's funny thing that someone said

"My Second and third laptops NEVER have freeze up or overheat, I tell the truth. I never send those to computer shop or company for due overheat issues for years. I suspect that you don't have own laptop, nor afford the top advanced gaming laptop. Or Perhap, You bought the cheap laptop with lousy memory ( laughing so hard, excuse me?)."

Now end up bring it to store and it died already.

My "cheap laptop with lousy memory" still stable and run smooth with Snow Leopard. It's almost 2 years old now.
 
How long feed re-charger battery since last spring?
