Responsible Journalism?

There is something that we should be aware of: overexposure of public figures like Michael Jackson and Obama.

Man media organizations have covered the investigation of MJ's death almost every day and night.

Time Magazine is going to mark theit 12th cover of Obama in only 12 months.

Even some political observers and Obama's advisors have debated over whether Obama is overexposed. Denied:1up! Software ()

I think that Michael cannot film in Cuba because it is a Communist country. Otherwise, he would be arrested and stay in a prison for a long time. That is probably why he didn't want that. It is the same way that he cannot enter the U.S. Guantanamo base.

Where did you get that idea? You're probably confusing it with North Korea. Anybody can film in Cuba. It's literally a vacation spot! In fact - Canadians can go to Cuba for vacation.

Yes, but working for the documentary film. That might be different.

I'm sure they have obtained permission from Cuban government. His film obviously made Cuba looks good! They're boasting that their medical care and people's well-being are better than Americans!

how shameless of us!

That is probably true!

I remember that the Cuba was the first shark research for medical treatments. American labs copied the Cuba's research for drugs. I thought that American labs are the most advanced equipment, but it was not. I probably think that most American research employees sit, read their newspaper, coffee, and chatting most of time every morning. I also was embarrassing to see some employees at the Navy base. That's not good. Shh, I don't think that any journalists are allowed to write about this one.

whats the hell happened? we were first talking about jounralism and now its comparing medical progress between capitalist and coummunist countries

Dunno about his other films but here's a piece from CNN on Moore on his movie Sicko. BTW, CNN thought he was lying at first.

I was referring to Moore as a journalist for his film document. It also related to Sicko in America as which Cuba was first to discover a near cure for a medical research. Why U.S.A. labs didn't discover it first? It's all about money - rather than finding a cure. He would film in Cuba about poor people who have no health insurance at all, but Cuba is a communist country. Now, it is already ripple effect all over the countries as well.

I probably think that many journalists have a hard time to get the facts especially health insurance companies' corruption because many employees who work for the insurance get a big discount for their own family. They are not willing to strike back because they want to continue receiving their excellence paychecks. Moore has to do something and make people to wake up what is happening to our country. It is so easy for a big company to pay to a media news big buck secretly in order for the media to hurt Moore's reputation.

Let me say a little bit quick here. A few houses away from my house, and she works for an insurance company. Her house was burnt down. The insurance gave her the money within two weeks. A person who do not work for the insurance company, and it takes many months or even almost two years for the person to receive the money. Somehow, it prohibits a journalist to write some document about this situation. It is supposed to be a Freedom of the Press. :dunno:

The President presenting Helen with cupcakes was sweet. :aw:

U.S. law the prevents Americans from going to Cuba--not Cuban law. It's part of the embargo. If the U.S. law were repealed, many people would like to go there. Some people still go there illegally by catching a flight in another country. Michael Moore could not do this because he's high profile.
