That's exactly what I paid too. And got it about 7 months ago, give or take, so seems as if the price still hasn't gone down yet.

I have a feeling it takes a long time for nintendo's stuff to drop. They have resell value and lots of sentiments tied with them. Nintendo has great market analysts working for them.

I picked up my wii on opening day standing in line at like 4AM in the morning at target in Nov. 2006. The price on my receipt $249.99, same as it is now...

Judging from previous console releases, it probably won't drop until the demand drops, which isn't anytime soon since almost 3 years later, everyone still wants one!
