Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and to help fund the needs of injured veterans/soldiers. To raise awareness for our severely-injured soldiers, I take a great pleasure participating in this rally on Sunday morning called Freedom Run.

i'm back. This rally experience was breathtaking!! It had over 3,000 riders! Pix and Videos will be posted soon..... I have another rally to go as well - "Born to Be Wild Motorcycle Run for Autism" next Sunday.

Please educate me on how to interact/talk/approach autistic people!

That is great!

I love the Bikers fund raisers.

They do seem to raise a quite a bit, for causes. :)

Very cool! I like how project goes. :thumb: I think they should keep it for ever! :)

yep. here's what this rally looks like. this video is taken at different state and different time but this rally was much bigger and longer. the roads were blocked off just for us and i could see some drivers were getting frustrated because the block-off could take up to 30 min since this was a massive event - beyond many's expectations. It was about 1,700 riders last year and 3,000+ this year!

After I watched them, I think it's nice to wave back at little girl and someone (I presumed it's a daddy?). And the second link, I like the red motorcycle, very bright one.

Yes, I can see a lot of motorcycles. Cool :)

I wished I had video of me waving at bunch of people but you can try to use imagination. I'll wait a few days because there were tons of New Yorkers filming us so I'm sure they're going to upload it to youtube. :cool2:

So, how much money did you raise for the cause?

I donated $35. Since there was over 3,000 people... I'd say approximately at least $100,000 was raised for this cause.

How does that stuff really work? I don't understand....

You go there, make a donation of 35 bucks and then drive around the countryside to araise awareness?

countryside? in here? :laugh2: sorry but we're in a heavy metro-area. the nearest countryside is probably a few hours away.

here - each biker (and passengers) go to registration place to sign the form and to donate some money at any amount they want. We rode from NJ to NYC and back to NJ (but different area). Along the way - people get interested in it and may come to Liberty State Park and participate. Hopefully they'll donate as well!

I usually donate $100. Sadly enough - I didn't bring enough money. I forgot to go to ATM on the same day because I was exhausted - with only 3 hrs of sleep. I went to 2 b-day parties the day before rally and that pretty much nearly emptied my wallet. Refilling my gas tank took a little bite out of my wallet to. It used to cost just $5 to refill but now it's doubled :mad2:

^ Sorry... My bad on the countryside term :giggle: I should have known better...

But thanks for taking your time explaining me :ty:
