Question about buy a car

Because we have BASTARD STUPID EPA not allow diesel car because it couldn't pass their STUPID emission test. EPA run out automaker and small engine. I don't believe global warning it fake.

But Mercedes diesel you could find here for under $2,000.
see my post#120

You can get used one from craiglist for diesel Mercedes.

I already know about EPA and now they try put emission standard on farm tractor and try make us throw old tractors.

Really, oh yeah same to California, they're tight on the emission levels on older vehicles to met the newer vehicles's emission levels. Obviously, the old vehicles are tossing over the boneyards for no money to spend to fix the failed emissions. They act like they force the people to buy the newer automobiles. I see many old vehicles on the roads are disappeared too fast.

I think the EPA don't like diesel vehicles, however in California, they are still
discussing to have the diesel powered vehicles to be the official state emission
inspection next year. All currently diesel powered vehicles are exemption from
state emission inspection. If so , I have to take a diesel training course but I wait the words from the bureau office. Stupid

Same as Chicago and hard to find diesel in anywhere due emission. That's suck!
So I live in Quad Cities and diesel is anywhere in same state. So I plan to take diesel class after done with gasoline class.

I don't understand about EPA. They allow semi truck in anywhere and lot black smoke than small diesel vehicles.

You start see lot new semi now because company who hired driver with semi are require to use new semi I believe 1997 or new. Some company really cheapskate they would hired driver with old semi because cheap to pay it.

New semi with EPA thing is horrible lot problem. They don't smoke black anymore. I used to work for 1 company they buy old semi because it cheaper like 80's.

You see lot black smokes those are old semi not new.

Make sense to me because some semi truck have lot black smoke and some semi truck don't when they push the gas.

Ok ok ok I better shut up and waiting till 2010.

new engines use electronic fuel injection systems. I'm not really know anything abt the diesel engines. I had been seen a magazine abt the new semi's
engines problem but I didnt read it cuz I'm a gasoline engine mechanic.

Soon, I will be gasoline and diesel engine mechanic in 2010.

Toyota Corollas is ok, some emission problem such as EVAP and Cats. Camry? No no no, Camry with 2.4L engine, have engine block problems, costly. They are on 2002 to 2007. If you want a Camry, u must have a mechanical insurance.

Why you think that Camry s engine problem? I have my car camry year 2003 over 110,000 mileage. Valve problem at once to fix it. Afterward, it is ok.

Diesel uses Injector just same way as Fuel Injectors as well. Diesel is first to use injector long before gasoline follows.
There is small difference between them, Gasoline depends on spark plugs while Diesel depends on heat (Usually heat coil).

Maybe, there will be a fewer diesel and gasoline engine mechanics in five years because people would probably buy an electric car and other type of energy car. They don't want to see back and forth for the gas/diesel prices all the times.

Semi truck still stuck with diesel and no way to use electric because not enough for torque and not enough for long trip. Right now Biodiesel is better for mpg and clean.

Hahaha, you must be funny!

You forgot, 18 wheelers, plus Trains, 98% of them runs on Diesel, howcome they would transform to electric in merely 5 years? You must be funny!

You lucky, umm not too many on Camrys. I diagnosed coolant leaks from a 2002 Camry w/85k miles on it, didnt find any external leaks. My primary suspect was head gasket. Wrote recommand on the RO paper. One week later, a customer brought his car back again, complaint overheated and inoperative A/C. I lifted the car, noticed strange wet green coolant under the intake manifold, knew it was a head gasket. I verified Toyota TSB to see if there was head gasket problem. The TSB says replace engine block on 2002 to 2007 camry, doesnt says anything about the head gaskets. I went to checking w/ technician hotline, was shocked that they in the nationwide, report that the head bolts in the block(intake side), pulling threaded holes, allow the coolant seeping and also causes blue puffs from tailpipe upon startup. The damaged threaded holdes in the blocks are unrepairable.

I think the German name Diesel (last name) invented it. I thought the gasoline engine was first then diesel. I screw up

Possible, I remmby I was in automotive class in 1999 for updated training
course. The instructor said abt the future for gasoline/diesel mechanics in the
nationwide will be decline in next few years. But today there is almost no change however I noticed there is a shortage of diesel mechanics, you right. Hey I know nothing abt the hybrid vehicles. If there is too many hybrid vehicles in US, outpace gasoline vehicles, there will be few repair shops or I become a Maytag mechanic? NO way.
