I'm looking for an assistance program for the deaf that can help me get a bed vibrator.
My wife came home last week after a year long hospitalization suffering from Congestive Heart Failure, Renal Failure, Respiratory Arrest and a Mild Stroke.
Thing is, she's a double amputee (no legs) and her upper body strength isn't what used to be.
I tried setting up a strobe light that is connected to a remote device. When she presses a remote button, it'll flash at me. Well, that works 75% of the time. This morning, not so much.
It worries me because what if that was an emergency and she could have died on me.
So I really need a bed vibrator so I can hook it to the same said remote device to wake me up with when she needs me.
The strobe light works fine during the day, it's when I am asleep that may become a problem.
The one I looked at so far is $56.95 Heavy Duty Bed Vibrator - Products for the Deaf but it's pretty expensive, at least for me.
I live in Indiana, like 30 mins north of Indy.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
