Use Lavender lotion, sprays to avoid any bugs come to you.

Cut lavender plant to fill into the vase for EACH rooms to avoid insects. (without water in the vase). Just add it into vase to dry themselves to smell every rooms.

Yes, we plant alot of lavenders everywhere in our garden to prevent insects to eat roses leaves. We have no hole leaves more since we plant lavenders.

Wow Liebling that's terrific! I'd love to have lavender every room in my house because I am so, so, so sick of bugs coming into my house. I am wondering if laveder plants are animal safe? I have two cats at home and they like to chew plants, but I keep plants at high surface so they wouldn't eat them.

We have a HUGE lavender farm near here where we live. She has a booth at the Sunday Market with dozens of items made from lavender. I am her best customer! It is called, "Shooting Star Lavender Farms", I think they have a wegsite. Have fun!

Yes, lavender plants are animal safe. I myself have 2 cats. Yes, I know the cats like to eat “sweet” plants, not lavender. I have alot of lavenders at my garden. My cats like to sleep under lavender flowers at our garden. It doesn´t affect my cats. The pets dont like to eat sour plants. I cut fresh lavenders to fill in the vase without water on table or self on EACH room.

That´s why we have sour plants instead of sweet plants in our house...

The smell of lavender helps amazing with nausea. Use good lavender spray or dilute few drops of lavender essential oil in water in a small spray bottle to spray your pillows, the sheets, the air, youself.... lavender is also the best to against mosquitos...

Ants is not go everywhere near lavenders...

It helps great when if you sprinkle baking powder on ants. The ants bring baking powder back to their “home” to feed their families and wont back again. I did with baking powder when ants come to visit us on stair of front house which it´s far away from lavenders garden. I only have ants once to twice a year. Thanks Baking powder. Yes, I was told that lavender is also help to rid of ants but I havent try it yet. I´m happy with baking powder because its work well.

wow, it sounds lovely... you can cut them to fill lavender in the vase for your rooms.

I have many lavenders at my garden which it helps to protect bugs from eating rose leaves.

I´m lavender lover..... and love smell of lavender..... mmmhhhhh

Did you heard about Yves Rocher? If yes, I order alot of things from Yves Rocher for 20 years and love it. Alot of lavendar things like candles, body sprays, soap, shower gel, shampoo, cool feet down, body cream, etc. etc. etc.

I spray my body with lavendar everyday... See 3rd page of lavendar body spray in link. I also use lavender candles, too. I also use lavender shower gel to fresh my body during hot weather.... also lavender oil......

Oh I didn´t see your post until today.

It might doesn´t work for ants... but you have to sprinkle bake powder where ants are around. They carry bake powder back to their families then won´t come back. It works pretty good.

Yes if you see ants for a first time, then sprinkle bake powder where ants are around and won´t come back again after first time... maybe one year later then they come back again... then sprinkle bake powder again... around 3 or 4 times, then they stop to visit your house.

I didn't know that it was an insect repellant, but did know that a lavender sachet tucked inside your pillowcase helps you to sleep. And Byrdie told me to put it in a steam bath and inhale it to clear my sinus and get rid of the headache. It worked great!

Love the color of Lavender! My bedroom is Lavender...

Here in Florida, roaches are rampant..what I found out years ago, and it really works, is Boric Acid. It can be applied "under" ur house, cornors of ur cabinets, baths, etc. I've been roach-free many years.

As for ants, a friend suggested pouring honey into a small saucer...put it by where the "trail" of ants are coming in. Once they get into the honey, they can't get out.

As for fire ants (outside) I usually burn the nest.
