Hi everyone,

I'm curious to know what IP relay service you use and why. What do you like about the relay service you use? What don't you like about the relay services you no longer use?

The only service I've tried is i711.com. I've become increasingly frustrated at how slow the CAs type -- especially when it comes to automated menus and confirming the spelling of a name. Another problem I've had is requesting a female CA and having a male CA handle my call.

I'd like to find another IP relay service, but don't know what is available. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Hey!

I use and love URrelay.com. I have the icon downloaded to my desktop and I have my own phone number through them. The CA's are fast and how I even found out about it was it is based in the city I am from and I know many who work there. If you check it out let me know what you think.. =)

I tend to use My IP Relay on the AIM. I rarely use the relay on the internet, mostly use is on the AIM. The screen name is My IP Relay, I think.

Thanks for the suggestion, Candy! :)

How quickly do CAs type automated messages? With i711, the CAs take forever to type them. As a result, I keep thinking that our connection has been lost.

How quickly do the CAs at My IP Relay type and do they follow your request when you ask for a female or male CA? At i711, my requests for a female CA have been ignored several times.

Since I have been using My IP Relay, it is doing fine to me. I didn't ask for the female or male CA so I am not sure what they will do.

I'll try your suggestion as well as Candy's and let you know what I think. :ty: :)

I use Hamilton Relay on AIM/Gtalk. It's great. It also include 10-digit number of my own locate.

Again... it's great.

Everything is real time on URrelay, they see what you are typing as you type it and you see what they are typing as they type it.

That's awesome because one thing that frustrates me greatly about i711 is how some of the CAs type over me and don't wait for me to finish even though I always tell them at the beginning of a call (in the special request form field) that I am deafblind and may type a little slower than usual. I'm beginning to think that their CAs don't read this information or if they do, they pay no attention to it.
