Since my last ENT visit (found out a ci or something else will eventually be in my future). I haver purchased a book on ASL (Signing For Dummies, no insult intended just seemed like a good choice for a novice like myself). Also I am loking into formal classes, just seemed like an idea whose time had come ( I always had an interest in ASL from a distance even before learning that my hearing was going byebye).
Good for you! I do suggest you to find some videos online (I believe there's one ASL video that's free that you can check out), as it's a little bit easier to visualize than a 2-D picture from the book. For example, it's hard to show the letter 'J' 2-D. Take a class as well.
