Obama as Leader

solutions? where?

My questions too.

Giving money to defunct companies to buy defunct mortgages.

Sliding in and approving bonuses for AIG execs and others and then feigning alarm and disgust when caught.

Now he wants to tax charitable donations, he says only from rich people(?). Is that like the now realized "mis-speak" of I will give 95% a tax break and only tax the rich bellow?

I wonder, does anyone else find this rush to the socialistic side alarming at all?
I do.

I don't. McCain/Palin kept calling Obama a Marxist/Socialist throughout the campaign last year.

Apparently, it didn't stick because if it had, Obama wouldn't have been elected.

I do not put a lot of stock in polls as they can be manipulated to reflect what the purchaser wants to reflect.

You don't believe in polls yet you're the one who told me in the past that "X" percentage of people approve the War in Iraq?

because Palin was a dead-weight for McCain. If Kay Hutchison was his VP.... it would be a sweeping victory and they would have my vote. oh well.....

The very fact that McCain chose a VP candidate like Palin says alot about his ability to make rational and logical decisions. McCain is the one that decided a cartoon character would be beneficial to his campaign -- not Obama. :cool2:

that's why I didn't vote for that old fart! methinks he was under influence on viagra :laugh2:

all kidding aside.... i really need to find out why did he pick Palin. I should do some deep digging.

Jiro,

I've been meaning to ask you: What neurological disorder are you referring to in regards to former President Bush? Bush was never officially diagnosed as having such.

If you find out why McCain picked Palin, let me know. I'm extremely curious because I don't think he was in his right mind when he made that decision.

Jiro,

yes you're correct. There was no official announcement about this but it's probably kept hush hush. There were several indications from his press coverages & State of the Union speech that he most likely has aphasia due to alcoholism and cocaine. That is a most logical explanation to his trouble with speech on number of occasions.

Beside that... maybe it's just me because I don't usually respond well to low-ball joke.. even if it's somebody I don't like. I just think it was uncalled for to make fun of his speech because we all know he struggled with alcoholism and because of that... that left him with a permanent brain disorder - allegedly. at least Bush had a decency not to criticize on previous Administration (Clinton). But Palin... yes do please make fun of her silly pronunciation "noo-cu-lear" or whatever.

Jiro,

Palin wasn't the one who said "nucular." That was former President Bush -- although Palin has made plenty of gaffes herself.

yep. Bush? I understand. Palin? please do make fun of her and do continue to do so because that lady just don't know when. to. STOP. TALKING! I don't think I've ever seen the President making more hilarious photographic gaffes than Bush.... like the baby crying when being held by Bush and him making an awkward face when he went to wrong door at China Summit (whatever it is called).

You are mistaken Hear Again, it must have been someone else posting poll results.

Palin wasn't the one who said "nucular." That was former President Bush -- although Palin has made plenty of gaffes herself.
They have all made numerous gaffes to include your precious Obama. That could be a whole thread to itself :)

Anyway, McCain/Palin has nothing to do with the topic of the thread "Obama as Leader"

I do find it interesting that the masses completely give him a pass on all the dangerous stuff he is proposing.
When he decides to tax the charitable contributions ie. donations to Deaf and Deaf/Blind Orgs(since we are at AD) and people stop giving what will you be saying then? Oh, I know - "Those damn rich and greedy people stopped giving" and nothing will be laid at Obamas feet.

If any of the members who are business people haven't noticed, Obama is pushing for the ability to take over any business he wants to take over. That is not the American way.

Remember nothing is set in stone yet.....just ideas.

a bad idea, that is... shouldn't have thought of it in the first place anyway because it's a waste of time... the time that we don't have.

The difference is that Obama hasn't made as many gaffes as Palin. :cool2:

Furthermore, McCain/Palin have everything to do with the topic of this thread. McCain made a poor decision by selecting Palin as his running mate while Obama did not. What McCain did shows extremely bad judgement which in turn demonstrates how ineffective a leader he would be.

Because of Obama's excellent choice in a VP candidate, he won the election by a landslide. :D

Jiro,

Former President Bush probably has Korsakoff's Syndrome due to vitamin deficiency which in turn is caused by chronic alcoholism and substance abuse. Bush not only has language difficulties, but memory problems as well.

By the way, his language problems are not because of aphasia. They may minic aphasia to some degree, but they aren't as consistent as what an aphasic disorder would be.

I guess we'll know when the time comes. :dunno:

Your personal opinion. Debatable.

Wow, thats a stretch.

His wild ideas are what scares me Byrdie.
