so is it appropriate of me to make fun of bipolar people and their extensive medication uses? have some class.....

It makes no difference to me. After all, I can't change how people feel about me or my bipolar. People will feel the way they feel about mental illness. If they want to criticize me, I couldn't care less. I have a thick skin and can take it. :cool2:

Besides, there are all kinds of people in this world -- including those who aren't nice.

When former President Bush accepted the Presidency, he also accepted the ability for the public to criticize him -- just like Obama.

uh... criticize? you are not criticizing him... no you are making fun of his medical disorder. Such a hypocrisy in here.... you chastised us for making fun of Britney Spears since she has a bipolar disorder...

I haven't seen anybody in here making fun of people with disorder. Criticizing and mocking are different. Yes we all can criticize Bush politically/socially/etc. But you were making fun of the way he speaks. How is that different from making fun of ADer with bad English grammar?

I guess this just goes to show I'm no different (or better) than the rest of you.
I have a right to say whatever I want about former President Bush just as you and others have a right to say anything you wish about Britney Spears. :cool2:

Calling Britney Spears a "freak" is indeed making fun of her.

With that, I'm done Jiro. All you want to do is debate everything I say, so I'm leaving this thread. Adios.

yes correct. you do have the rights to say anything about Bush. But what you say determines the class you have.

As far as Obama is concerned, I listened to his press conference earlier today and thought he did an excellent job answering questions from reporters. His answers were clear, concise and he had a number of good ideas for solving our country's current problems. Go, Obama! :D

so he talks the talk. let's see if he walks the walk. :D

I forgot to mention that Obama's approval numbers for this week are exactly where former President Bush and Clinton's were at this time during their Presidency:

Obama's Approval Equal To or Better Than Bush's, Clinton's

I wonder how long will it hold... hopefully longer. we need people's participation in this matter..

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."
-JFK

I wonder what the next item of business is on Obama's agenda?

good question. :dunno: just gotta sit tight and wait for daily news. a never-ending surprise :cool2:

I have to say I really like Obama's communication style. He's very articulate and does an excellent job of indicating how he will overcome the issues we currently face as a country. He isn't just stating that we have problems. He's giving solutions as well. :cool2:

solutions? where?

I do not put a lot of stock in polls as they can be manipulated to reflect what the purchaser wants to reflect. Apparently Zogby has a new one out that says 50% with mostly Democrats queried.

Obamas speech was not received as well as the MSM reports.

I believe the press is getting tired of the preset list of which reporters he will call on and what their questions are to be.

He needs to take responsibility for himself and the decisions he and his administration make. He has been involved at least since 2006(congressman) and now President.

I wonder, does anyone else find this rush to the socialistic side alarming at all?
I do.
