Obama represents family values

Just think about it... the Obama family is the true presentation of what "family values" are. Michelle and Barack met, married, and have two girls together. Neither were divorced before the marriage. They were pretty much old fashioned. They worked hard and they work together as a couple.

Now, look at so called "family values" spouted by McCain and Palin. McCain left his first wife who supported him through the war for a rich woman. He had numerous affairs. What a great role model.

And look at what Palin has done to her children - her daughter got knocked up, got pregnant, and her hot white trash boyfriend is nothing but a "f**** redneck" as he said in his own words on his blog. They got engaged. Even had tattoo of "Bristol" on his finger. And now they are breaking up. Palin obviously did not teach Bristol a thing about sex and conservatives think they KNOW how to teach their children about pregnancy, sex, and marriage? She failed. And we have looney conservatives thinking that Palin represents "family."
 
I agree that the Obamas are good role model for family values but they shouldnt be used as a pedestal cuz everyone is different. The idea of a "nuclear" family is no longer the representative of the ideal American family. There is no such thing anymore.

Looks like Bill was embarassed when Monica Lewinski pointed her finger at him. While Hillary ignored Monica, and their innocent daughter thinks its funny.

Yea, I didn't vote for him, his charasmatic really turned me off. I believe he is the one of few who made our economy into major mess.

no..... Monica Lewinsky scandal happened in Clinton's 2nd term. If this happened in his 1st term, he would not have won 2nd term.
 
Yes, that is correct. And I agreed that if he did (I believe he ALREADY DID) and got caught during the first term, he wont run for 2nd term.

Oh really? How do you explain the surplus and the dot-com boom? Both eventually disappeared (dot-com bust happened in Clinton's last year, right?) but quality of life was generally much better than the Bush years.

I think Bush was the one that totally screwed shit up.

well lucky for Clinton - he didn't have to deal with 9/11 shit. Bush had to clean up Clinton's mess which contributed to 9/11.

That's not true. We were still in debt when Clinton was in office. The budget was in surplus. Basically they spent less money than what they received however they still were in debt which was in trillions then as it is now.
 
Curious...wasn't there ever a president who didn't leave a mess for his successor? Just wondering since lately, we have been blaming the recent presidents for certain events. :hmm:

Speaking of family values, there is a possibility that Jefferson impregnanted a slave so lack of family values did go wayyyyy back.

exactly... Obama's no different. Obama has to fix Bush's mess and he will certainly leave his mess for next President
