I have a question about DTV Converters, I got coupons from FCC and was browsing around for $40 "free" DTV Converter. Because I didn't care about how cheap it is. I just want to have a backup plan and even using old TV for outdoor or emergency purpose. Most importantly, CC must be efficient and reliable and have options to configure CC!!
I planned to use that on DVD player monitor that have Audio/Video jack ready and also my new EVGA NVidia GeForce 9400 PCI-E with A/V input ready. So I can watch DTV for pleasure or emergency (in case if I had tornado in my area :Ohno: cuz I live right inside of "Tornado Alley" in Kansas and I do have power outage so I use 12vdc 400W inverter to power TV and DTV Converter)
Once I finished my basement in my home, I planned to buy 3 new HDTV to replace 3 old Analog TV perhap next year If basement is done by the time. (plan to donate old CRT TVs to anyone who would want it or dump it to Goodwill store
). But DTV Converter would be very useful for Graphic card and Monitor with A/V jack ready. Also I still plan to keep old 9" TV/VCR combo TV cuz I have many VCR tapes for kids to watch so it'll be useful with DTV Converter anyway.
Which 3 of DTV Converter brand under (FREE) category that have more options for CC such as Font style, size and background color?? If you own one or one of your friend owns one like that, If it is efficient enough. Let me know
I might get two of them either two of same or two different models.
here the site I was checking out, seem like the only site that offer Free DTV Converters with $6.95 Sh/H fee for one or two DTV Converters (I emailed and they emailed me back with their response).
