Mosquito Survives In Outer Space

The Mist was an awesome movie, Mrs. Carmody was a religious nutcase, but the ending was so sad.

Seems it goes into dormant while in space. Then when it was returned to Earth. It woke up and its Alive, ITS ALIVE!!!

I'm still not understanding how this happened. When I used to back-pack in the mountains, it was sometimes a relief to be above the tree-line cuz that's where there were no mosquitoes. I think they blow up above 8500 feet....

Wow, I read the article again saying that in the shade of the planet, the temperatures would plummet to around -302 degrees F but warm up to 140 degrees F. That's pretty extreme temps there. Can't believe that mosquito survived.

 Maybe their are millions of dormant skeeters up in the mountains.

Ewww. Exploding skeeters, I can imagine it is a bloody scene.

This thread is absurd as the idea of sending mosquitoes to space is.

Ive never seen this movie, but I like Mrs. Buckets description of this crazy Sunday School teacher.

And for Gods sakes lets leave mosquitoes behind when we abandon the Earth, I get so sick of those things in the summer, and they manage to come in the house during the winter. One thing about backpacking that I'll never miss.
