Or a need to control other people's lives?

Yeah...the more people they can get to do it their way, the more in validates their own perspective.

In France, abortion is legal and any people which tries to prevent abortion (like a pro-life group) is passible to court and jail.

In France, the number of abortions is stable since 1975, when it has been legalized by Simone Veil.
I say I am pro-choice, a woman whioch has no possibility for any kind of reason to keep the child (economical, religious etc.....) should have the possibility to abort in a "clean", I mean, in a secure way.

If I were pregnent, I would have had no choice than aborting, because the ENT doc and other doctors told me I may lose my hearing. I hope you will understand my reasons.

U wont have a baby because u will lose your hearing? I am deaf in both ears since birth and have two children.

I am glad that in France the pro-lifers will go to jail for trying to prevent abortions. That should be extended here in the states. It is none of their freaking business what other people do in their lives.

Yeah, but I suffer from unilateral deafness (or Single Sided Deafness, it's the same thing, except that "unilateral deafness" is the technical word, whereas SSD is the everyday's word) and if I lose my other ear, this would be a catastroph for me.
I really think that bilateral and unilateral deafness is not the same thing : when you have one side, you try to protect as much as possible the good side. At least this is what my current ENT told me.

Just let you know that I'm very opposing to requirement of sterilization for both of genders, we ain't live in communist or fascist country.

I think this should be a choice, sterilization.

that's not political prisoners. they are criminals. Abortion is LEGAL. to prevent people from having abortion is CRIMINAL. We need that in America. :mad2:

Actually, dreama, it is illegal in the U.S. to attempt to prevent a patient from entering a a clinic that performs abortions, as well. It doesn't have anything to do with politics. It is a simple matter of not infringing on another's rights.

It's usually the healthy ones that expects the infected ones to carry on.

(scratches head)

Most pro lifers make an exception when a woman's health is in any REAL danger. Even Sarah Palin wasn't planning to make Abortion illigal in those situations.

I don't think being pro life makes me a coward. Quite the contrary it takes courage to speak as you find when everyone is just going to verbally tear you to shreads when you express your opinion and now it seems in some countries you may even end in jail. (very sad)

just as much as it's illegal to prevent black people from going to voting ballot place.

And, to add the dose, the Jewish doctor Israel Nisan, a pro-choice gyn, had received in I-don't-remember-the-date threats of death from pro-life group, he has been told that he was doing a crime against humanity (if I remember well, this was a long time ago).... The pro-life groups are, for me, the most abject people. I truely hate them, because they are antisemitic too.

I think this should be a choice, sterilization.

I means that I'm against on force of sterilization to women, it should be woman's choice to do sterilization or not.

I'm quite more middle of pro-life and pro-choice.

people do have a choice for sterilization but pro-lifer doesn't care because no life is lost from this process - just sperms or eggs. but the big issue here is abortion.

Certainly not - being a pro-lifer does not make you a coward. But many pro-lifers have different reasons. A certain pro-lifer's reason/belief does sound like a coward.

To YOU, yea -- but to ME, no.

Sarah Palin wasn't planning on making abortion illegal. She was simply proposing kicking the legal stipulations back to the individual states.
