Obama inaguration open thread

Anyone else watching the inauguration?

I should be sleeping as I just got home from class (and after working overnight). I'm having a beer and cigar, though I still have some mixed feelings.
 
I'm watching video on CNN right now and Obama will sworn in few minutes.
 
i can't watch it at all because i can't see or hear. :( my landlord tried turning up the sensitivity in my processors, but this only caused the dizziness to come back. when she lowered sensitivity it didn't provide enough sound to help me understand speech. i'm so bummed. :( i was *really* looking forward to watching this on tv.

I'm watching this right now as I write. I had class until 11 but we got out early to watch this so I flew (drove fast!) home and got to see Obama being sworn in. I missed Biden, though. They're singing the national anthem now. This is a great day.

But I'm so impressive with his speech, so I still am forward in what plans he has in the future :)
 
It sure is a great day for him becoming our 44th president already. :)

Praise the lord that Bush has FINALLY left the white house!
 
d*mn, now i wish i could see. at least i'd be able to watch obama on tv. *sigh*
 
Aw Hear Again, I'm sorry. <sad>

If it makes you feel any better, I went but had to find a bathroom for an emergency and ended up having to wander home caneless. So I missed the whole thing, too.

oh my gosh! are you okay, nika? how on earth did you manage to get home if you didn't have your cane? was someone able to guide you? i hope so. <hugs>
 
i hope obama's inauguration will be released on dvd because it seems that it's the only way i'll be able to see it.

guess what?? i just found a neighbor who's willing to type out a written transcript of what happens on cnn on my telebraille. i'm so excited!!! <very happy>

well, i'm off to go "watch" the inauguration. i'll be back later to comment.

i guess i won't miss out on this historical day after all!

I thought you're able to read online transcripts via braille yourself??
