A Newborn Baby Found at a landfill

Says who ? Teen kids were ALREADY taught about sex through Sex Ed AND they choose not to follow it and end up gettin' pregnant ! And, even thou they DON'T listen to the parents when they advice them to take what's the best for the teen kids. Some listen, some don't.

You can't really say that people say we DON'T need Sex Ed for our kids.

Yes, I can. Check the numerous posts regarding abstinence only education. How do you know what kind of sex ed this child had? Teen preganancy is a huge problem in the United States, and this article simply confirms some of the horrible outcomes of children having children. And also confirms the need for abortion to be available to all.

i rather have lots of sex ed classes for kids in school included history of teens pregnancy that end up in jails because of hurting babies. kids stilll need lots of sex ed classes anyway. I d like to see that sex ed classes that included about teens experiences with pregnancy, abortins and a few less graphic pictures that will impact teens.

I agree.

obvious solution to fix this issue -

1. comprehensive and UPDATED sex education that communicates well with the kids.... not some films & material from 1980's.
2. hire resourceful & qualified counselors (without agenda) that counsel/assist/advice teen preggies
3. better teen pregnancy programs & awareness
4. perhaps a government-sanctioned facility for "Drop Off Baby"
5. most importantly.... an open-mind, unbiased, understanding approach to deal with this issue

Excellent plan, Jiro.

Yet another heartbreaking story. Poor baby didn't get a chance to live all because his 16-year old mother didn't want him. And to throw him away .. Sheesh when will people realize the safe haven law lets them drop off a baby at a hospital, no questions asked? Obviously that is just not publicized enough ..

no no - the baby was already dead. it was a stillbirth. I think you're confusing this story with another one.... Liebling got mixed up too. This story is about hospital "discarding" dead baby at garbage can. The baby was supposed to be retrieved by funeral house but the body ends up at landfill..... :mad2:

Didnt anyone notice that the father is a FORTY-ONE year old?! Perhaps he had a strong saying in this situation so he wouldnt get caught corrupting a minor.

How sickening!

No .. according to the quote by the OP, it says "In court documents, Port Angeles police wrote that after being born to the teenager early Tuesday, the baby boy was held face down in a toilet by his young mother until he drowned. The boy's body was put in a plastic bag and placed in a trash can outside, the documents said."

Her father was 41, not the baby's father. I read it that way the first time, too, and had to read it a second time.

Yeah. It also said the father of the baby is in his 30's

I agree about the birth control. But in this situation I feel she was molested and force to discard the baby.

Sorry to look at the bad side of this but somehow with her father being involved I felt she was forced to do so.

Even someone in 30s is still breaking the law.

Thanks for having me re-read again :)

*sighs* I am tired of all these child murder stories...breaks my heart.

I am as well.

But this one really bothers me.

The reason is the father of the daughter was aware and assisted in disposing the baby.

And a 30 year old man supposedly getting her pregnant.

OMG!!

Can anyone imagine?

I would really like to see how this case unfold.

I am just hoping I am proven wrong.
