Yikes! How could I forget this one ? What happened to the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights for American citizens ? They have the right to bear their own guns. The higher up leaders need to stop abusin' US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. No wonder the US Constitution is erodin'. :ugh3:

It isn't "erodin'".

You have to remember that NO was under a state of emergency and when that happens--there will be serious consequences if you don't follow orders from the authorities.

No it did not erode. It was abused and now fixed. Didn't you read the part where the states have agreed to sign the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006? That's Amendment 2 at its best. :cool2:

The higher up leaders protected our rights by signing that bills. It was Police Superintendent who abused the Amendment 2. He's a fascist pig and a Domestic Dissent! :mad2:

He didn't abuse it; he ignored it. He also ignored the First Amendment.

Yes, I have been evacuated many times, including some mandatory mass-evacs. NEVER did anyone, public official or not, have the right to enter my home and take my guns.

Yeah, better to leave the guns just lying around so the looters could confiscate them instead of the police. Or so some would have us believe.

yes he ignored it. and then he abused it by forcibly seizing guns from them and assaulting them.

not all evacuated and those who stayed behind were at threat of theft, rape, etc. either way - the police had no legal rights to seize guns and they did so without warrant or any approval from higher up.

that's fine. I'm ok with cops collecting guns laying around in empty households. better not let looters get them! but prying it off from a citizen and thus breaking her arm in the process? That, my friend, is a fascism. :mad2:

sorry buddy. they automatically accepted the occupational risk when they signed up to be officers. but that doesn't give them rights to remove the threats just because they feel threatened. I'm not sure how an armed private citizen posed a threat to officers.

Either way... whatever you say.. you lose because New Orlean government agreed to settle and they knew they were wrong in doing so.

we've been thru disasters many times. Earthquake in LA. Flooding/Hurricane in Florida and Texas. etc. I don't see any gun seizures. Why only New Orleans? Apparently - this was an overly-zealous Police Superintendent who is against Amendment 2 for private citizens.

More importantly - why did Louisiana Governor signed the bill? Apparently he does not share your view

Or it is the Government's plan to prepare somethin' in the future without people's knowledge what the Government plans to do to American citizens ? It's like we are " guinea pigs " to the Government to see how we respond ? :hmm:
 
im sorry but if i stayed behind and cops asked me for my guns, they'd have to arrest me. I'm not going to let my guns get taken away when anarchy is present. Some random person breaking into my home for their well being --including looting, taking food, whatever, is a dead man if their intent is solely malicious.

Federal Government has absolutely nothing to do with disaster nor state's matter. They do nothing of any kinds unless the state governor asks for federal assistance. The only federal agency who provides these kind of disaster relief is FEMA and nothing else.

everybody including politicians know it's a political suicide to do any such unconstitutional acts.

Ah, yes I remember the word " FEMA " - I read alot about it - boy, what they did was wrong. I have other sites that I am researchin', but not FEMA. It's somethin' else that similiar what unconstitutional acts are. It makes me :mad2: because, some American citizens are innocent and injured - and, they are also confused when that happens. I hate to see that to happen to any innocent American citizen.
