Feminism and Sarah Palin

Creationism shouldn't be allowed to be taught in schools. Besides it being against the separation between church and state, it's also crazy talk. We can't tell kids fairy tales are real. It's irresponsible. It's wrong. It's backwards. Let's move forward into the future. Sound good to everyone?

Disabled people are ok. They don't need to be cured.

I'm sorry it offends you so much but I'm not going to stop doing this until after the 4th of november. After that you can see for yourself.

You only have to ask yourself why you get very upset when you type those trigger words. Apparently those words are your trigger words hence the fact you get really agitated and I can see it.

I'm kind of confused, so you're offended by Obama's comments about supporting medical research, even there was absolutely no mention of animals in that quote, because you decided that he was going to be supporting animal testing, and that would be inhumane. Meanwhile, Sarah Palin can parade around in hunting gear and joke about killing as many moose as she'd like, but that's fine?

I also don't understand how you got "disabled people are useless" out of a list of major and devastating diseases. I think you should maybe put your "reading between the lines" on hold for a bit, and actually focus on the words that are being said.

Then we could say, "I think it's pretty sad that someone from Europe has to speak on behalf of AD Democrats. Obviously, they (AD Democrats) must not have enough faith in their candidate to defend them against comments made by AD Republicans."

Let's be "fair and balanced."

Actually, if you read the posts on AD Reba, you'll notice more AD Democrats defending Obama than AD Republicans defending McCain.

So, yes, I am being fair and balanced. :)

dreama,

As I've mentioned several times on AD, I have bipolar. If it weren't for biomedical research, I would not have the medications necessary to keep my moods as stable as possible, nor would my mother have had the medications she needed to keep her cancer pain at bay.

If you stop and think about it, you'll see that there are many examples of beneficial treatments that have come about thanks to biomedical research.

And if it were not for biomedical research, I'd be dead of hypothyroidism (yes, it's that bad) by now. If it were not for it, my mother wouldn't be the only member of my family to survive breast cancer. My grandmother Price and two of my great Aunts died of it. My great aunts and my grandmother were sisters.

lol @ the article. That was all kinds of silly.

I completely disagree with all of Palin's views, but she certainly has the right to call herself a feminist. I identify as a feminist, but obviously a very different feminist from Palin.

As am I.
