your concern is fallacious since public schools nor government do not force people to celebrate those. Just because you had that bad experience at school does not mean there is a government policy that mandates the enforcement of observance of religion/holiday.

My dad's former company's security guard prayed to Allah at work. That's why we waited for about 10 min for him to finished praying so that he can sign us in. It was on weekend when I tagged along with my dad to his work.

Only the true area that doesn't have an religion is my property and I add the religion to it, that's individual's rights. Sorry if I sounds like take the Christianity as target, but the only religion that people ever used to control against me is the religion of Christianity. The father of a boy said that he hide his many guns and lock but he don´t understand how a boy got a gun from? It´s not first time...

There is ALREADY a federal law specifically forbidding certain things regarding religions. They cannot watch every single school. It is up to you as a citizen to pursue a legal action against school regarding religion matter. For example - if the public school strictly enforces its policy to make students worship a certain religion - that school will lose federal funding and the school officials may be arrested. It's AGAINST THE FEDERAL LAW for government/public schools/public offices to ENDORSE a religion.

I don't think I should take what the father said about his guns as truth, some of people can be defensive, you know... My dad told me he only knew that my grandpa was a police till when my dad finally move out and my grandpa admitted to him about the guns.

I firstly knew that I owned a gun from my great grandpa when I was only 12 years old and I own a blow-tart right in my bedroom, which also could kill someone.

I guess I was too used with the weapons and doesn't get scare of those. But I just tend to see them as protective, that's all.

I agree. When I was a child, my father kept guns behind the TV set, unlocked, and in their zipped covers, on the floor. One day I discovered the guns, and said "Mom, there's guns behind the TV" and she told me very strictly never ever to touch them, and I listened to her. I was nine years old. But, I had a very small younger sister at the time (about 3 years old or so), and she could have gotten into the guns and hurt herself or someone else. I still think, to this day, that my father was very irresponsible for keeping the guns behind the TV where children, especially a toddler, could get into. He should have kept them in a locked box or something. Out of children's reach.

that's personal responsibility. you do not need government to tell you what to do. it's common sense. if your father lacks it - he's a twat and should not own a gun but hey... it's his house, his rule, his property. Who am I to lecture him on what to do? The best I want is for government to fund a gun safety awareness program. It's better that way.

I own a gun and I would NEVER leave a gun behind tv... unlocked. It's a serious irresponsibility and that's my rule in my own household. But I do not need a federal law telling me this.
