Look at what conservatives have done to this economy!

Fiscally responsible? My ass!

haha, have noticed whenever a democrat is in office - more fiscal responsibility - more money in the coffers (Clinton)... but after a republican's term (bush), lesssssss $$ in coffers, higher national debt.. and I thought the republican belief was based on taking responsibility for ourselves?? I like that philosophy but dont trust the ones professing to support it so far. And that is why I am a democrat, not a republican.

No kidding! From what I understand, the current national debt courtesy of the Bush Administration is the second largest in U.S. history.

Why doesn't that surprise me?

And remember that they are not "true" fiscal conservatives.

Well we do have two wars that we are paying for.....

I support the war in Afghanistan, but not the war in Iraq. I honestly don't understand how the Bush Administration can fork out $10 million dollars/month for the latter. All of that money could be better spent on domestic issues.

I know.....

I just did a Google search and found several sources which indicated that we're spending $12 billion dollars/month on the war in Iraq. Thank goodness Obama will be in power soon so that number doesn't keep growing.

Same here, I support the war in Afghanistan. Always did, but I never supported the Iraq war due to the claims the US government was making. I suspected that the information they gave us were flawed to start with. Turned out I was right.

The Canadian government is still supporting the war in Afghanistan, but not the Iraq war.

"Flawed." You are very kind, Banjo!

Well, I have to be diplomatic. :-P

The CIA itself even warned President Bush that the report was full of inaccurate information. Yet he went ahead and pushed it toward the congress to vote for.

That is what I call stupidity.

Exactly.

Remember what he said?

"The guy threatened my daddy!"

I initially supported the war in Afghanistan but now that I come to realize it, it is a waste of time because we still don't have Osama and it makes me doubt that Osama even had anything to do with 9/11.

Iraq on the other hand was a bad idea right from the start.Conservatives claim that we are on the verge of victory but they have been claiming that since 2003 and it has always been far from the truth.

I'll agree that it was a bad idea to begin with but at least there hasn't been that many attacks on American soliders since then.

So far, over 4,000 soldiers have died in the war in Iraq.

The point is that no one should have died in this unnecessary conflict.

All of the deaths that resulted from this conflict are unacceptable.
