I know you would vote ALL above that´s why I do not put "All Above" on the poll list. I can understand that "all above" is important but it´s about FIRST priority...

What´s Obama´s FIRST priority should be?

The poll, I set is only ONE vote, not more... but you can post...

1. ......
2. ......
3. ......

Come and discuss...

If I were to list what I think are primary issues he should consider first:

1) Economy - policies to stabilize inflation and prices, establish more sound mortgage lending standards.

2) Government budget - bring the national debt to surplus status

3) Foreign policy - Reestablish strong US trustworthiness, and sign long term economic proposals.

1. Economy

2. Iraq

3. Reduce National Debt - wiser budgeting

4. Improve Foreign Relations

5... whatever he thinks necessary

To gain US trustworthiness, US would have to close the Gulag at Guantanamo bay. Can Obama make it happen?

1. The Economy
2. Iraq
3. Try to get out of the national debt
4. Health care infrastructure

Sequoias, it would be good if Obama could find a solid solution for the health care infrastructure yet last few Prezs tried that but no luck.

Boy, we all need that solved for sure. Maybe I ought to add that as a 5th list.

Yeah, I hope Obama will find a solution with the health care infrastructure. You never know what surprises anyone can bring up.

1. Economy
2. Wars (both Iraq & Afghanistan)
3. Other

That's what we all look forward to that.

Yet mind you that he has so much on his plate to do so it might be quite difficult for him to do the HCI part for time being, however.

Yeah, I think he will probably focus mostly on the budget deflict, war issues and something else.

Given the extremely poor state of our economy, I think that needs to be Obama's first priority.

In a TV interview, I heard Obama state that his tax cuts for the middle class will be one of the first plans he addresses.

It will be interesting to see what happens during the first 6 months of his Presidency.

I have a good feeling that Obama is going to turn our economy around. It might take awihile, but I think some improvements will occur before the end of his 4 year term.

I wish to vote "All above" because they all are important... so I voted "Other" Other

The reason I voted "Other" because it's impossible of Obama to change everything in once soon after his first job as President in January 2009...

I think it's Obama's first priority is to clean up the mess, (1. "Other") Bush Administration cause first then....

(2. "Iraq War") End Iraq war and bring troops home to save billions to boost (3. Economy) economy and (4. Healthcare) provide healthcare for all Americans.

I can't pick many choice. I want to pick many choice I want. I voted for Economy is the most important! Because of DOW is below. He need to fix the economy first. I picked other. He can encourage everybody to get jobs and make extra money. He can help with college students.

Obama need to find a problem the solve with Al Qaeda Terrorist and Hamas. I hope it's peacemaker instead of war with enemies.

I guess that all.

IMO, I think the first and foremost priority should be the Economy, obviously.

The economy is vital because it also does colloborate with other aspects such as Health Care, Foreign Policy, War, Education, so and on.

Secondly, The health care system seriously needs to be revamped.

Third, That goes for Foreign Policy and the war.

Fourth, The Educational System also needs to be maintained.

I choose economy.

He and others felt that he would be the best one to do so.

Off-topic...

For the most part, Democratic Presidents have had a history of initiating peace talks before engaging in war, so I have no doubt that Obama will do the same.

As for Al Qaeda, I don't think they will ever be eliminated completely.

We have elected a President who is capable of addressing the many issues that affect Americans all at once. Unlike his opponents who were able to focus on only one task at a time. Therefore, he will make all a priority.

I voted economy as that is what seems worst to me right now.
