Hi, I have a class project to do and my teacher is asking us to sign four lines of a song and also how it would be written in ASL. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how this would be written in ASL and it would be so much help if someone could interpret is for me, please it's only four lines?

These are the lyrics in English:
Now that she's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's a time to change, hey, hey, hey

I think if you know the story behind the song maybe you'd understand it more? Here's a link for that if you want:

If anyone would interpret those four lines you'd be a life saver!

Ummm . . . didn't you say your teacher asked you to sign four lines of a song and write it in ASL?

I suggest you ask your teacher, classmates, or a real live deaf friend to help you, only after you have first made a heroic attempt and only need assistance over the rough spots.

My teacher IS deaf and I have tried. It's not signing it that I need help with it's the interpretation from English to ASL

How can you sign something if you can't interpret it? You need to know the meaning before you can sign it.

Did your teacher pick this song? :hmm:

Your deaf teacher assigned a song??????

That is almost beyond weird.

I always find it weird when ASL is taught with songs being signed . It's something hearing people seem to enjoy a lot, but I am surprised a deaf teacher would do it.

I know more or less how it would go, but since my teacher is actually deaf and the class interpreter's (he inputs his opinions for everything) both parents are deaf they're very critical when it comes to projects because of ridiculously high expectations. So that's why I'm asking here, to make sure I have it right so I don't get a lousy grade.

And yes actually he did, he had his teacher's aid put a bunch of appropriate songs in a basket and we got them at random.
