Ah, okay.

Try thinking of other alternatives.

I do have a few friends whose names were spelled too unusual and they wished their parents didn't do that.

In fact, I was at the mall with one of them a few weeks ago. She was disappointed because no one sold novelty items with her name on them. If she wanted her own name, she had to pay more to have it custom made or engraved.

An idea: You could look up baby names in your or your bf's ancestry language. For example, my ancestry is Flemish so unusual female names would be:
Cecile,
Elodine,
Emmerence,
Gabriella,
Idaline,
Irma,
Ivonia,
Leontine or Leonie,
Lianne,
Margareta,
Malvina,
Zoe,
Zulma
Of course, my grandmother name is Angel!

Another idea: You could combine your and your bf's name to make an unique name. For example, I knew someone named Ricann because her parents names are Rick and Ann.

Good luck in coming up with a name that you and your bf would like and Congrats on on having a baby!

It would be an easy name otherwise someday she has to tell a clerk or salesperson to spell her name correctly again and again. How about Jennifer, Julie, Amanda, Elise, Dana, Denise, Dora, Abby, Ellen, Emma, Erica, Eva, Kathy, Mabel, Olivia, Wendy, etc...?

My family's first names in first letter with J except my father with R.

How it would waste my time?? No, I was glad to help! if you turn all names down, no problem.

I can offer more names

Okay, how about this...?

Talitha
Abigail
Jelena
Alexis
Alessandra
Makayla
Mikayla
Camila
Jayla
Amaya
Cassandra
Kimora
Camilla
Kathleen
Katherine
Athena
Danika

Okay, I now can't think of more names. So, if you turn down all of those names, don't worry. I can do my best to think of more female names to make an offer.

Yeah, same with Damien, i never seen any items have his name on it. So it should be fair to daughter. Because my name have on all items..but my sister's name Cayla don't have it. Only Kayla. She got jealous of me that I always got items with my name on it. She kept complaning to my mom about not fair abt names. So Damien and Melika both are fair.

Seems like you're juggling with the names inbetween yourself and Ray.

Melissa, I think your boyfriend is being unfair to you. He and you should discuss to make an agreement for being fair reason. You seemingly let him whatever he want a name that you dislike and you bear it. No, you SHOULD NOT bear the name that you don't like and you should let your boyfriend know what you truly feel about the name.

Anyway, here's some more names. I'll try names with "D".

Quote:
Damiana "to tame" (derived from Damien)

Damijana "to tame" (derived from Damien)

Danica "morning star"

Danika "morning star" (derived from Danica)

Darina "gift"

Darinka "to possess a goodness"

Darla "darling"

Davina "beloved"

Delora "Mary of sorrows"

Devika "little goddness"

Domitilla (unknown)

Dorita "lady"
Thoughts?

sorry for not respond for long time..cuz been so busy! Anyway, no I don't want to have name to be close to damien. Also, ray don't like that name Damien. No, Ray and I have to agree same name. But he disagree w me and I disagree with him too. Remember, he said if it's a boy, then he wanted to name boy "Jasper"..I was like no way! He begged me long time. I keep said no no no. I refused accept Jasper. I rather others or Skyler. Now we found out it's a girl, so he keep said no to any girls name that I asked him. He only like Melika...same me only like Skyler. That's all..

Do you have a family name that you're fond of? We chose James for one of our sons because it was the name of both husband's grandfather and my grandfather. They were both deceased so he is the only one in the family with this name. So far, he's the only James in his classes. There are a ton of Matthews. Actually, all of the apostles names are very popular where I live.

Do you have a favorite female relative? Maybe up date the name? For example, Margaret becomes Megan or Maggie?

Pick out the name that you and your husband like and don't worry about what other people say. You can have names ready and decide which one after she arrives. If I remember correctly, you name the baby before you leave the hospital for the birth certificate. That would give you at least a couple of days to decide.
