Boo Boo and Dottie looks like they're doing some kind of business...hmmm

They look cute but for some reason, I am always terrified of rats, seriously. :giggle:

Nevertheless, Thanks for sharing the pictures. :)

Me neither! I still get up on the chair or even a table in a hurry if a mouse scurries near me! :giggle:

My son complained that something was making noises in the rafters above his bedroom ceiling for the last 6 months. So just recently, we placed some rat bait inside the ceiling and after a week, by chance, saw the rat outside on our roof, looking ill after eating the bait. So hubby did the right thing (if you get my meaning) before disposing of it as it was vermin. Sorry Seq.

Anyhow Seq ... they look very well looked after. :)

Well, I do like ferrets too. My cousin used to have a ferret. The thing is, they smell really bad. No matter how many times you try to keep it clean, it still smells. It's cute and fun to play with, yes but it isn't for me, lol.

Yes, because ferrets have a stink gland....they can stink worse if they don't remove the stink gland....a bit of that still remains...so they naturally have the musky smell.

Yes, that's correct.

The musky smell doesn't really bother me as much as it does but when it is not taken care of, that's when it gets really bad.

I just wonder what gender your cousin had?

My brother own female ferret. Don't smell so much. It's about gender. Male more smeller than female. Did you know that? That's right clean dont help so much.

yup true lol but I kept the cage in well-ventilated area so the smell was manageable.

Yes, I'm aware that the male ferrets has stronger odor than female ferrets, particularly if they are not altered. She used to have a female ferret.

That's good. If it is manageable then you shouldn't have any problem. :thumb: Enjoy your ferrets. How many ferrets do you have?

Whoops - This thread is about the rats, not ferrets. Let's not hijack it. :)

Haha I'll just answer this one but yea we should get back to rat subject. Notice that my statement was in past tense. I had 1 male salt & pepper ferret named Choo-Choo. When I move out - I want to get 2.

Why is that?

I wouldn't mind having a pet rat myself. :)

Usually pet ferrets get neutered and descented(spelling is wrong ) I mean they take out the scent gland. They smell ok if you bath them each week with baby shampoo.I used to have one ferret with Waardenburg syndrome.Ferrets are prone to it like humans. He was a deaf ferret. We called him Bob.He was very lovable.

By the way on topic, cute rats. They are hooded rats?

Yep, 3 of the girls in the same cage are all hooded rats. Pete is capped variety. It has a white streak on the forehead and has white underneath on the jaw area.

The pictures you took with your new digital camera, it looked so clear.

Aww very cute Ratties. I wouldn't mind to have one as a pet. :)

Thank you for sharing the pictures with us.
