I don't like manicotti cuz of all the cheese...but if it was just that and more sauce i'd like it:) lol

Zucchini parmeggiano. Basically lasagna made with zucchini instead of pasta. And for dessert, tiramisu, hands down.

I get my mom to make me tiramisu for my bday lol id rather that than actual bday cake:p lol haha and she makes it from scratch OMG it's just soo good..lol and i love zucchini too ..very good:)

I like anything Italian (Northern and Southern) as long as there are no baby squid or octopus tentacles included.

I can make a mean Chicken Saltimbocca, I add garlic to the spinach for a tad more flavor, really delish!

pretty much anything. Italian's my most favorite food.

hubby and I went with my folks to Italian restaurant for dinner last weekend and I had some excellent pasta w/pine nuts, red peppers and olives, and chicken <do eat some poultry or fish occasionally if out w/family or friends> and this wonderful Arrabiata sauce:D; originally dish came w/creamy sauce but I had switched to other.

Lasagna!!! MMM! We also like mac & beef, pasta with meatballs, not sure what else lol! I am not sure if pizza does count!?

 I think pizza would be an American thing. Pizza here and there are not even remotely the same.

I like risottos though... although most restaurants don't serve them because it's too "peasant."\

Most of my favourite pasta dishes are actually French, not Italian, despite the fact that the French uses Italian names. :\

anything like those before me. Though, I do have a soft spot for eggplant parmesan

Piadina filled with lots of ham :D YUM!

Absolutely love Girandole di sfoglia con ricotta e spinaci (delicious finger apetizers!!!!) with ricotta cheese and spinach

Fritto misto - oh boy!!!!!!!!! :P (fried pieces of zucchini, mushrooms, etc....) whatever you feel like ...

Can you tell I have been too many times in Toscana???? :giggle: Nothing compares than real Italian food in Italy fyi!!!! Most of the outside world think it only consists of pasta and pizza! It's sad and I wish I could find more real italian ingredients here. It's hard to find Piadina so I am usually left doing it on my own anyway... *sigh*

aww ya well italian families cook italian food...it's hard to find real italian families in the states tho..they are usually 4th 5th gen and can't speak italian or cook italian food either.. my fam that immigrated to canada all speak italian and are close to our culture and the ones that immigrated to u.s. don't speak italian and are very americanized
