any crochet fan out there? I'm currently working on 3 afghans right now one for mom, one for my nephew and one for myself :D

Cool...I stopped cuz I messed it up so bad! So I have to re-do. I'll put it on hold on that one...so dunno what I am having, I can crochet for our new baby. :)

I used to crochet. I made full-size afghans, baby clothes (for my daughter), table place mats, vests, necktie, scarves, and slide rule case. I made lots of "granny squares." :P

I like the looks of many crocheted items, but personally, I am a knitter.

Sadly uncoordinated and incompetent. I can't do any of that although I admire it.

It's not too late to crochet modern stuff. You can try the book, "Not Your Mama's Crochet." The projects are so great.

I grew up crocheting.

In this climate there's not as much incentive for crocheted items, ha, ha.

Sadly, I'm currently bogged down with too many projects. :(

Explain please.

my nephew im done with one its patchwork with 3 different shades of blue and i have ton of same yarns leftover so im currently making solid light blue and if it wasnt enough i'd add the other 2 shades of blues on both ends in stripes.
my mom's afghan is dye-lot so its "tie-dyed" shades of light pink, light purple, brownish purple and very dark purple.
and for me its black and neon orange chevron afghan (zig-zag) and after im done i'll start autumn colors (coppery-orange, gold and brown yarns) havent decided what stitch styles yet.
its great stress reliever

I love doing crochet and knit for blanket, hat, jewelry and something creative on purse and bag. I started learn crochet when I was 5. My grandma taught me. She was crocheter and knitter. And other my grandma was knitter. They made afghan blankets, clothes, and much more. I like to add bead in crochet. It's good for stress relieve. I am plan to make baby's cotton blanket and hat soon. I have to wait for my baby's gender almost 5 weeks left to go. When i figure it out and will go to Hobby Lobby, Joann's, Michael's to buy more color baby cotton yarns. :-D

I'm fans of Crochet and Knit both!

I knit, some crochet. I am currently knitting fair isle socks. I love crochet because its faster and knitting for the texture and detail. I also have a simple knitting machine.

Yes I crochet and knit a lot.

You can see some pictures of crochet, I made.

I used to knit a lot for jumpers, babies overall, etc. We have a lot of knitted jumpers... I do not need more knit anymore.... maybe again one day. My teenage boys are not keen knitted jumpers.

I still do with crochet...

I've started to learn how to crotchet beads and make pendants & thick necklaces out of them as well. It is hard and wheee.. flyaway beads galore!

Our vacuum cleaner resembles the 1970's corn popper toy.:giggle:

WOW! That's beautiful work :jaw::jaw:

I've always wanted to learn even though my Hispanic family always thought it strange that a male would want to learn how to do "woman's work"

I did finally get my aunt to teach me to sew and even helped her sew up some bedsheets.

I am not good at crocheting. I am dumb.
I just paid a deaf elderly lady to do crochet an afghan for me, which she did. She made me a beautiful afghan, which I love so much. I am using it to keep me warm while I am watching TV. Cozy!!! :D

Wow.. the crochets are so beautiful. I wish I learned it from my grandmother when I was little. I guess I was not interested at the time. Oh, well...

:thumb: Did you put bead in string long cord before crochet? The bead will not fly away. Make sure use the beewax to make a straight and easy to get in the bead.
