To be a Republican, you need to believe:

1. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's Daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Viet Nam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

4. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational drug corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

7. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism. HMO's and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which tens of thousands die is solid defense policy.

12. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

13. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

14. You support "Executive Privilege" for every Republican ever born, who will be born or who might be born (in perpetuity.)

15. Support hunters who shoot their friends and blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those worn by the quail.

LOL. I think whoever made this list has them pegged!

I don't think I'll send this list to my father, LOL. He's Republican because he's anti-taxes and anti-communists. As far he's concerned Democrats is the wrong party, period. No ifs and buts about it. Discussion is over.

The reasons why I am a Republican, support the gun controls, low tax takeoff on my fuckin' paychecks, and support the war even if a soldier shot a 12 years old kid with AK-47 when a kid point a muzzle at the US soldiers.

Hey hey, chill out. This list is supposed to be funny. I'm neither a Democrat or a Republican. Don't have a heart attack on me.
 
If this is intended to be humor, then why is it posted in "War & Political News" (emphasis added)?

But then, I posted intended humor in the jokes section, clearly labeled "joke," and a member had to ask ". . . is this for real?" A different joke, clearly labeled and formatted as a funny was considered oralist propaganda.

Could it be some have a great deal of trouble reading? Or is making trouble just too darned much fun to pass up?

Perhaps he posted it in the wrong forum? The list is clearly intended to be funny and you're right, it should belong in the humor section - not here.

Whoa!!! That's why my mom always tells me that it is a no no to discuss politics over the dinner table.

She said her dad would go into flying fits if anyone dares to criticize the Republican party. I think my Grandpa would have the same reaction as u but I am gonna copy and send it to him just to get a reaction from him. I am mean! LOL!

My mom will get pissed off at me for doing that to my Grandpa but I couldnt resist. He takes it sooo seriously. My mom told me stories of him getting into shouting matches with others about the Republican party. Used to frighten her and her sisters as kids.

There is no difference in both parties. They promise one thing, and do whatever they can to just get more money or help their business parters out. Think it is also funny how at 1st, they thought this war in Iraq will be the way voter's will go, now, it sounds like Iraq not going to be a hot topic.

How anyone plains on cutting our spending, taxes, benefits, and jobs, while increasing the troops and equipment and salaries for them self. Fix the SSI system, while not even bring up an idea. I can't see the logic in that. The race, in my point of veiw till someone really stands out, is a women how already spent 2 terms in office and a black man.

I am not being racist or putting down women, but I honestly don't think our country ready for a women or a minority as Commander in Chief. It be nice change for once. I also see if that happens, then they be impeached or someone will try to kill either one before their term is over.

Yes, Our country is out of the slavery era and rights era, but still, don't think we are fully ready for that. Look at Jackie Robinson, he was picked to join the MLB, not cause he was the best black baseball player, cause he had the strongest will to handle the stress he would get when he joined MLB. He had death threats and everything, but he played for 10 years in MLB.

If you want prof that our country still not ready for a minority in the white house, look at the Islams right after 9/11 in OUR OWN country. Their businesses got burned, destroyed, and hate crimes on top of that. That was not even 7 years ago. Now the women part, also, Jessica Lynch and how we reacted to that. There still a debate about women in combat roles, even though they are in the fire fights as well.

I just think that a 3rd party will win for the 1st time or US will go throw a huge change with either a women or a minority in office. Myself, I don't care, I just want my benefits and pay get better for laying my life on the line so everyone can voice their opinions.
 
lol, it's funny to read about be a republican, it's not all are true, just depends on parts that what different people would support or not, there's group of conservative christian republican, liberal republican, jew republican, anti-religion republican or moderate republican, every groups are different system about what support or not.
