Hearing Aid tube to ear mold

Not sure where to ask this. But, does anybody know where I can order a supply or roll of the tube for the ear mold to connect it to the hearing aid? I would like to replace the tube myself when the tube dries out and get hard.
 
thats a good post and i agree with you and think that would be great to have... having our own supplies and knowing how to measure our hearing aid would make an easier time for us to go get it done quick rather then driving to the audioolgist office. hummm that is a very good question

have you checked out google? to see if they might have the suppilies?

I have but not having much luck since a search engine keep showing things with tube but nothing of what I'm trying to find.

EDIT: Acutally, your post made me reword what I've been trying to find. I googled "hearing aid supply" (never used suppy before) and now I'm seeing some results. I'll see what I can find from that.

I have used this service in the past to upgrade or repair my hearing aids. This company does a fast service. They do not hold or keep your hearing aids longer than a week like other hearing aids companies do. I have brought ear mold tubes from them. I am not sure how much they will charge for mailing and shipping, I am pretty sure they are reasonable price. American Hearing Laboratory Good Luck and let me know how you like the services.

I get my tubing for free from my Audie where I bought my HA from ... maybe just ask them ??? I get the prebent "DRY" heavywall - which are a little stiffer, but really cut down on humidity issues. I'm in canada , and Oto hearing is where my Audie gets their tubing from ( or at least that's what the package says)
 
I don't think that would be quite a good idea. I'm not sure if they last long once they're made.
 
I did ask my audie for the tubing I need another extra, in case of emergency that I might need it so badly if it's smthg happened to my tubing damage torn apart, it already dries up cracked by itself that way I don't have to come back again. She said no, that I can't buy one until I have to come back after for only a short months, it makes me so mad tired of going back/forth.

Lavender, You need to find another hearing aid place because I have 2 hearing aids and the tube gets dry so often in Texas dry air. They would give me more than 4 or 6 tubes because I live out in the country. You should not have problem with the company put here click that it will takes you to that website where you can get more than 2 tubes or have your hearing aids upgrade.

not sure, but did you know you can get colored tubing? Yeah, I think that the tubing should be available to us wholesale....it's just a piece of plastic!
 
I would still love to figure out where the audiologist is getting the supply from. I would rather just by the spool and then I can buy a heater to be able to shape the tube. For me to spend $20.00 for both hearing aids seems to be ridiculous amount of money to pay for that (I know, you have to pay for the time that the audie putting on the new tube, but they always having to end up have to keep cutting it shorter or pull the tube in more into the mold that I just give up and do the rest at home to make the tube right).
 
I use radio controlled nitro gas powered car gas line tube, it's very sturdy and hard to break and it works great as a hearing aid tube. They're cheaper than the tubes they sell and they don't last long. You can never run out of ideas. :)

i love that idea.. LOL but those tubes seems too big to me... since i own one too :D

they aren't that big, they have different sizes, the one I have its a bit thick wall but has a tiny hole. It fits in hearing aid just right. :)
 
i did a google search the last time for hearing aid tubes and went through several sites and found a couple and i have ordered a pack of 6 at a time. Now i dont have to live in fear of harden tubes that cracks and leaks. IF it get too hard for my liking, i just swap it out since having my own supply is nice. its cheap too. Its alot easier then call your HA place and setup an appt , or even if he let you do a same day walk in, i hate the hassle of driving there just for one freaking tube.

Very good idea. I agree with you 100% on swapping them out yourself. Why pay for something you can do yourself? It just makes no sense! Furthermore, not everyone just wants to run down to the audiologist or hearing aid center to get tubes changed. Its kind of frustrating.

I hope you do though, heat up the tubes with a hair dryer or whatever to soften them before inserting or removing them. This does help a lot in softening them up some before installing or removing them. That should help a lot with the earhook not breaking ever again.
 
Thanks for the link. Since I am so frustrated to go to HA and have it replaced it and cost me for the replacement and the service charged. My old Audio is retired and I found another place which cost me money. So i would rather do it myself and it help alot too. My tube is gone and now it time for me to get a new one. Yay!!!

That price is better then here in Klamath Falls,OR
It is $25 for 2 aids to be tubed,Weather you let them do it or take the tubes home and do them yourself.
Sorry to say it is all about the $$ money!

Right now I am looking for the earhooks

P.S. You can buy the pre cut tubes online because I have.
