LOL! Yes, algebra 2.

I'm only doing this for Loghead because he's special.

He is special, and I was sincerely thinking how lucky a high school boy can ask a math question and quickly have two well educated women answer it.

And it is just from our coincidental bond of being deaf. That's neat to me.

Oi... math. I used to be really good in it, then I just took a massive brain dump and forgot all of it when I wasn't required to take any math-based courses at university.

I was never capable of much more than adding and subtracting.

Thank you so much, Sally! I looked at the question again when I got to class and I used this answer pretty much exactly! It works perfectly!

Yes, but the technical unit was quadratics. It is very confusing stuff! I am not a fan of math, but I am usually pretty good at it. I strongly detest quadratics. I am not a fan of algebra overall, though.

Thank you very much Sally! It was good of you & Shel to help me with that question. He never taught us how to do it! That is part of the reason why I reported him about a week ago. The guidance department met with me, thanked me for my positive review and professionally-written email, and told me that they were going to have a discussion with him. The biggest problem is that he doesn't tell us where to improve. He will pile on the homework, but we will never find out what it was the we did wrong. He's not the ideal math teacher. I wish you were my teacher!

So true, Botts! I appreciate having AllDeaf as not only a place for my own enjoyment, but also as a resource. I appreciate that two qualified teachers, Shel & Sally, were willing to answer my question on their own time.

It is pretty neat isn't it? The Internet is a great thing.

I didn't get back to you all any sooner. Last Sunday night, I became ill. I called for an appointment the next day. So, off I went to see my PCP, he examined me and he had to change and increase some of my medications. It is colon. It's discomforting.. and it's uncomfortable!
I lost 10 pounds. If I don't get better and then, I will go to the hospital for testing. I am nervous. I pray that I will NOT go to the hospital!
I apologize for not replying!
I hope you all had a nice Halloween weekend as much as I did!
Well, I better sign this off for now. I need some rest. I will try to reply some of you later this week when I can.
Again, I apologize!
Take care,
Sosie

Sousie, that's scary. Hope that you're better soon!

Loghead, I'd love to be your math teacher. If only every student was like you.

General strategy for any function is to visualize it. Graph any points you know. Look and see if it's a parabola, ellipse, etc. If it's a parabola, try to find it's vertex. Work towards graphing it. That helps you grasp what you're dealing with.

Urgh... frustrated with the audiologists that came over to my place to help me figure out the dumb intercom system.

They offered me some devices, although they wanted me to get it for free by getting them government-sponsored... because a lot of deaf people can't afford expensive technology-- but I can afford them. I told them about the way my family raised me, and they still insist on it. Bloody!

I means I am the type of guy that will voluntarily be exempted from public healthcare if I can.

Uh no....dr is gonna induce me cuz baby hasn't come out yet! So stubborn! LOL! I am due tomorrow!!!

We are really excited but disappointed with hospital new policy about kids under 18 are not allowed. So our son cannot witness the birth or cut his baby brother's cord. Darn! Swine Flu breakout, that's the main reason.

Yea, most hospital all over have that new rule and regulation. Even at the hospital where my dad is staying at. My 14 years old son is bummed out about that new rule, because he wants to see his grandpa. He has to wait to see his grandpa until he comes home.

Uh... ok Well happy birth anyway

One of my friend went once one week overdue. Doctors had planned to induce the day after but he decided to come earlier than that still
