# 7 Danger of Coke and Pepsi (Soft Drinks)

For those of u who LOVE Coke/Pepsi. Just when you thought you knew everything.

1) To clean a toilet:-

* Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl.
* Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean.
* The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
* No scrubbing, no sweat - guaranteed.

2) To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:

* Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of aluminum foils dipped in Coca-Cola.
* Much economical than the stuff from Smart Shop.

3) To clean corrosion from car battery terminals;

* Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

4) To loosen a rusted bolt;

* Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

5) To remove grease from clothes;

* Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle.

6) The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

Hey, what do we have here?

The world's first soft drink disguise as a multi-purpose cleaner? Or should it be a multi-purpose cleaner disguise as a soft drink!!!

Besides that, If you pour Coke (yes, the soda) on a slab of pork, wait a little while, you will SEE WORMS crawl out of it.

AND WE DRINK THIS STUFF! Coke & Pepsi ALARMING FACTS!!!

The average pH of soft drinks, e.g. Coke, Pepsi is pH 3.4. This acidity is strong enough to dissolve teeth and bones! Our human body stops building bones at around the age of 30. After that it'll be dissolving about 8-18% of the bones each year through the urine, depending on the acidity of the food intake (acidity does not depend on the taste of the food, but on the ratio of potassium / calcium / magnesium / etc. to phosphorus).

All the dissolved calcium compounds accumulate in the arteries, veins, skin tissue, and organs. This affects the functioning of the kidney (kidney stones). Soft drinks do not have any nutritional value (in terms of vitamins and minerals). They have higher sugar content, higher acidity, and more additives such as preservatives and colourings.

Some people like to take cold soft drinks after each meal, guess what's the impact? Our body has an optimum temperature of 37 degrees for the functioning of digestive enzymes. The temperature of cold soft drinks is much less than 37, sometimes quite close to 0. This will lower the effectiveness of the enzymes and put stress on the digestive system, digesting less food. In fact the food gets fermented. The fermented food produce bad smelling gases, decays and forms toxins, which are absorbed in the intestines, get circulated in the blood and is delivered to the whole body. This spread of toxins can lead to the development of various diseases. Think before you drink Coke or Pepsi or any another soft drink.

Have you ever thought what you drink when you drink an aerated drink? You gulp down carbon dioxide, something that no sane person in the world would advise you to do. Few months ago, there was a competition in Delhi
University "Who can drink the most Coke?". The winner drank 8 bottles and died on the spot because too much carbon dioxide in the blood and not enough oxygen. From then on, the principal banned all soft drinks from the
university canteen.

Someone put a broken tooth in a bottle of Pepsi and in 10 days it is dissolved! Teeth and bones are the only human organs that stay intact for years after death. Imagine what the drink must be doing to your delicate soft intestines and stomach lining! To all COKE / PEPSI LOVERS, think again the next time before you say " CHUP ".

I have been told if you quit drinking pepsi or coke then to regain what you lost , drink alots of milk for bone gains and alots of water to wash out the vital organs from having too much soda in your body.

Best thing you can do is 100 % Abstinence , no soda at all.

:gpost: :ty: for all that information on soda. It makes us wonder now what our insides look like after drinking all that soda for so many years. Now we should think twice when we decide to drink a glass or bottle of soda. :-o

Sorry about the goof:

Claim: The acids in Coca-Cola make it harmful to drink.

Status: False.

Example: [Collected on the Internet, 2001]

rigins: Many
of the entries above are just simple household tips involving Coca-Cola, as provided by Joey Green in his 1995 book Polish Your Furniture with Panty Hose and on his web site. That you can cook and clean with Coke is relatively meaningless from a safety standpoint — you can use a wide array of common household substances (including water) for the same purposes; that fact alone doesn't necessarily make them dangerous to ingest. Nearly all carbonated soft drinks contain carbonic acid, which is moderately useful for tasks such as removing stains and dissolving rust deposits (although plain soda water is much better for some of these purposes than Coca-Cola or other soft drinks, as it doesn't leave a sticky sugar residue behind). Carbonic acid is relatively weak, however, and people have been drinking carbonated water for many years with no detrimental effects.

The rest of the claims offered here are specious. Coca-Cola does contain small amounts of citric acid and phosphoric acid; however, all the insinuations about the dangers these acids might pose to people who drink Coca-Cola ignore a simple concept familiar to any first-year chemistry student: concentration. Coca-Cola contains less citric acid than orange juice does, and the concentration of phosphoric acid in Coke is far too small (a mere 11 to 13 grams per gallon of syrup, or about 0.20 to 0.30 per cent of the total formula) to dissolve a steak, a tooth, or a nail overnight. (Much of the item will dissolve eventually, but after a day or two you'll still have most of the tooth, a whole nail, and one very soggy t-bone.)

Besides, the gastric acid in your stomach is much stronger than any of the acids in Coca-Cola, so the Coca-Cola is harmless.

The next time you're stopped by a highway patrolman, try asking him if he's ever scrubbed blood stains off a highway with Coca-Cola (or anything else). If you're lucky, by the time he stops laughing he'll have forgotten about the citation he was going to give you.

Only thing is good for us are milk, water, and sugarless fruit drinks and also V8?

Nancy, you beat me to it! Heh!

Yep, I've been reading about this for years. No matter how many times I tell people, they still forget and believe the rumors over and over. This is like saying that Mountain Dew makes your penis or testicles shrink. :roll:

The fact remains the same... Soft Drinks still aren't good for you. :)

That one...my aunt did pour Coca-Cola on my car and it works! :confused: It was like a long time ago!

Ah - thanks goodness, I don't drink pops or soft drinks for a long, long time. I usually drink water ( lots of water ) daily - never miss it. And, also I drink organic teas without chemicals in it. Water is the number one priority than all drinks and it helps cleansin' your liver/kidney to keep health to stay clean. And, of course - do not drink tap water. Use water bottle for safety/or use Brita through faucet.

that is old news... ;) you can pour coke on the windshields if the wipers make noisy or make the windshields not clearly. when ur coke is left, drink it and enjoy it... *burp* ;)
