AD Crash - Database Restored to April 3rd

AllDeaf.com crashed earlier this evening. As a result, there are posts missing between April 3rd and April 20th, as well as upload images and private messages.

since I know nothing about stuff like that, how exactly does a "crash" happen, and how does it delete a bunch of stuff?

Because all are stored in the database on the server, posts, PM, members, everything expect the software.

I always thought how it would be cool to have the ability to go back in time, but actually...it sucks. I just gained the ability to bug people via PM yesterday and now its been taken away from me cruelly....(start playing your violins at this point)
