Which do you prefer and why?

Plastic makes the soda taste more like chemicals. Prefer can.

Aluminum makes soda taste like metal. Same thing.

Seriously, I don't taste any difference between the two. :dunno:

Yeah, soda isn't exactly healthy but here the thing is...

I am wondering scientifically, Which storage method is more healthy?

Between the two materials, over time, I am guessing that aluminum would be best but I'm not a scientist. I just think that plastic might, OVER TIME, more readily leach into the soda before aluminum would. :dunno: so don't quote me on that; I'm just post-whoring.

Why not try a soda in the carton?

You can go ahead and try that and make a report to us; but, for now, the topic is speaking to aluminum vs plastic.
:D

#7 plastic (rare) OR glass works the best. It will not get in the drink. Too bad glass is breakable but unbeatable in taste.

I think all plastic should be recycable so #1 or #2 all the WAY! #7 is too difficult to be recycled in common areas since many only offer recycling bins for #1 and #2.

Glass, on other hand, is recycable at MANY places.

I prefer cans because it store colder better than bottle's.

If I open 1.25 litre bottle, I can't drink it all myself as I must empty this bottle by sharing with others otherwise it will go flat fast.

Albeit cans is not cheap to buy! :(

I often recycle bottles and cans here in Rochester since I get paid for them. What sucks is that you can only recycle Pepsi products for money. If it's not a Pepsi product, they won't accept it and it gets tossed in the trash. :(

That's strange, Vampy. Out here we get somewhere around 1.50 a lb for all aluminum cans, beer, soda, etc....it takes an average of 22-12 oz cans to make a pound.....just a lil' trivia there, lol

Me too. I prefer to drink out of glass bottles.

Though, when I use them, I try to keep the environment in mind.

Some are recycable.

Every two years we visit CT and buy a few cases of bottled soda. We bring them back to SC to enjoy. Then, we save the bottles and case racks in our attic until the next trip back. Then, we return the bottles and get more. :)

Yes, I´m the same as Reba and Endymion. The reason is because I support environment-friendly.

Yes, I also use recycle bottles (plastic) and also carbon, too...

We won´t have aluminum can in my house but glass, plastic or carbon recycle bottles because aluminum harm environment-friendly.

I recycle my glass, aluminum, plastic materials and paper materials, too. Seattle recycling program is one of the strict system in the US.

Aluminum can be recycled.

I prefer glass which is safe to drink.

Aluminum and plastic are not quite good. Aluminum is one of the health problem. Plastic (type #7) release tiny chemicals in the bottle when they are in the refrigerator. They are easy to carry and recycle them. Glass is also recycle, too.

A big plastic wated bottle connects a foundation for people to drink in the public - I forgot what it is called. This bottle contains #7 (blue plastic) which is bad. I haven't seen the blue one.
