This will be my next device to replace my sidekick 2, but not too soon. Probably this fall. It's very impressive! It's more than a phone, though.

Check this out!

Apple - iPhone

Even tho I don't like the word iphone, but at least it's impressive.

I saw that on Cnn news.. i was like cool.. wonder if it is any good? hmm.. wait n see. :)

They have the demo of how it works on that link I posted. I will like to see one in person and try it out. :)

This is far the most advanced mobile phone to hit the market as far I am concerned.

Quite amazing from what I've seen. I'm pretty sure the major players are sweating now because none of their products can compete with it.

One major ding against it is the lack of a keyboard. While this isn't important for the general populace, the Deaf community needs it.

Also, is iPhone equipped with push e-mail capabilities? If it isn't, then the BB will win out as usual.

It has a keyboard, only it's the screen instead of plastic caps.

it does have full qwerty keyboard via touchscreen hey it is multi-touch technology!

yes, Apple says they are offering free Yahoo's push email

see the link in first post and also check out the keynote (there's two, just click the one about iphone)

one could use two finger to type (I mean thumbs :) ) It also said it will ignore unintended touches so avoid errors and also it does spellcheck real good. :)

If you want, you can read this transcript from two site;
MacRumors.com : MacWorld San Francisco 2007 Keynote Live Coverage
and

also visit this site, there was a post that someone did actually tries the iPhone or whatever

Pocket pc can provide these features but it is not easy to install or use either.

The Apple iPhone runs OS X - Engadget

I learned that the iPhone that Job has been demoing isn't "finished" so Apple has 6 months to finish smoothing out wrinkles and finish all those software that Job hasn't demoed to us like calculator and calendar as such..

It does have "video camera" but frame refresh isn't smooth yet.. hence 6 months to make it smooth and faster.

We will see more information on apple.com as time near probably in May or thereabout. (because we already know the price but nothing about monthly service rate with cignular though)

Looks like good stuff, good to see more options for the Deaf world. I have thought of getting a personal computer from Apple Mac and now this. Looks like Apple has some bright minds onboard and I would not be surprised if Apple hires Deaf people who thought up these features for Apple. I sure hope that Apple gives the Deaf workers a very generous bonus for coming up with these features for the Apple iphone.

Sequoias, Let us know how it goes when you do get the Apple iphone please, Thank you. :) :thumb:

Apple's iPhone is 5 years ahead of the major players; Apple has applied for 200 patents surrounding this product! Beckoning for June....

It's a real nice piece. Who's gonna pay for the gadget's welcome mat to the deaf society?

Richard

Richard

It always has to be somebody else who hasta pay with you, isn't it, Richard? Dont'cha get tired of this depressive dependency mentality?

Well, this iphone has a full version of Safari like on Mac OS X on the Mac computers. So it's possible that it will run javascript web applications that will connect to relay services on it.

We will find more about it when it comes out in June if they aren't delayed by the Apple is being sued by Cisco had the iphone name trademarked since 2001.

I am not huge fan of Apple stuffs..

Iphone is actually full PDA/ MDA.. I think Iphone doesn't have keyboard like the KICK

I don't know if Iphone is unlimit plans like sk's unlimited plans for 20 bucks..

Anyway, I better stick with SIDEKICK... Because I am memeber of T-MO SK for 5 or 6 years.. SK IS EVERYTHING!!

Good luck with some of you get Iphone...
