.. if indeed in the future deafness was completely erased?
I am pretty sure the deaf community rejects CI so much because CI may give some an impression that slowly there will be less and less culturally deaf people more oral CI-ers,
and only a few truly deaf will remain- feeling abandoned, rejected, cast aside.
While I AM SURE this will NOT gonna ever happen with CI, it occured to me what if one day indeed the cure, a real cure, will be found for deafness- what then?
will you be sorry there is no more deaf people?
mind you, this is different from my other thread where I asked "would you like to be cured".
Here I am asking- would that be bad, if no more deafness?
