I am going to seminary and I want to become a chaplain someday. I would like to know:

How do you all feel about a chaplain who can sign in a hospital?

Or other places?
 
Do you plan to be a minister in a deaf church? My hope would be that if a chaplain was sent to my hospital room they would have that status, and if they were going to sign, be fluent
 
I am thinking about whether to serve in a Deaf church or a ministry that serves Deaf people outside of a church.

I would really like to find a Deaf church (of my denomination) when I go to seminary. I could get input from various people who could give me advice and help me to become a better signer.
 
jump in now and attend various events... Silent Dinners etc.

Pretty sure there are many Deaf churches around the US. I have a friend who is a Deaf minister and had her own church- I know for sure in NY- I don't know about other states though as I know she has moved a few times.
