Why Toyota & Honda owners should be careful!

thank god i didn't choose foregin cars! i must follow amarican car or trucks.. i own a cheveloete thanks! :)

yea im aware of it even tho i own a 2002 Honda Civic EX and its BLACK -- so i religiously park it in a well lighted area and lock it -- my area has a high rate of auto theft as well

i could consider entering my car with the county police's "watch your car" program (if i remmy right the name of the program) -- its a program where if the police see the car on the roads between 11 pm and 6 am they can have the right to stop the car and talk to the driver and if necessary contact the owner to validate if the person driving the vehicle has permission from owner

Scuba, u may be thankful u have a Chevy, but it is the most stolen BRAND of car for 2K2. (read the article carefully) but the thieves most target Chevy trucks not cars.

Also theft rates vary in different areas. For example if I had a 89 Camry and lived in California, for sure it would be stolen, but if I kept the Camry in Tennessee, the thieves will skip it and go straight for the Chevy truck.

Plus u can install a GPS system for the cops to track the car if it is stolen. Chevy, Caddy, Acura, Saab, anything made by GM has OnStar cellphone/GPS system that does other things like give directions, unlock the car if u locked keys in it, notify the ambulance if the airbags goes off in a crash besides tracking the stolen car. But it seems GM OnStar is discriminating against Deafies cuz of no screen/keyboard/no TTY assistance.

Besides if I wanted to buy a Honda or a Toyota, I'd do the same thing flyfree did for her Honda. But I think I'll be better off with a Nissan anyways ;)

i own a 94 toyota king cab truck and it's red. So far it hasn t had any plms, despite the high risk of toyota users, all my things in here ( the truck) are factory made, i won t buy a Cd player for that truck til i * graduate* my truck to a newer yr which w ould be a couple yrs from now im sure. I rather all my vehchiles have it factory maded, not installing Cd players or changers or anything for that matter. the less u install the better chance they just will have to take a cassette player which is slowly fading now, and more Cd players are being used. thats IMO cuz i relize i could be wrong. I also have a tinted truck too, so they can't see much inside my truck which is a good thing. I do know the parts for the truck eingines usually come in to the chop shop, i just am careful where i park my truck lock it and make sure its in a lighted area. :)

The 25 vehicles thieves love most

Some are easier to steal, and some are easier to sell. Is your car at risk? Here are the most-stolen cars and trucks and the reasons they are targeted.

I guess the Hyundai's not a popular brand of car in USA, hey? I drive a '97 Hyundai Excel -- it's hmm...about maybe in the top 30 most stolen cars in Australia...Holden (Pontiac in USA) Monaro, Fairmont Ford, Ford Futura are among the top 10 most stolen.

Ironically, I parked my old Toyota Camry car in the bad area of Cleveland. It was not stolen at all. I got 1994 Toyota Corolla car and parked my car for a month at the parking lot in San Francisco while I was in LV or elsewhere. When I returned, I noticed my car quietly parked, waiting for me to drive. Very strange. maybe no one want to steal my Toyota Corolla car. Shrugs. Maybe they hate my odd car!! LOL
