Hello,

Im doing a research paper and I was just wondering if I can have some opinions. My research topic is "Do Deaf View Interpreters as Oppressors?"

I was just wondering if some of you can tell me how you feel.

This is a difficult question to answer
because all of these interpreters have
their own various personalities/types.
I happen to be the type of person myself
who would NOT allowed to be oppressed by
any interpreters anyway.

There is one interpreter I was really
disappointed with her because she would
interpret whatever the presenter said,
but she would NOT want to interpret
with people AFTER the meeting for some
social conversation and rapport
with some of them.
She seem to have the fear of
socializing with them along with me, sigh....

I would much rather to have an interpreter with me
socializing with people BEFORE and
AFTER the meetings, SO MUCH BETTER than
to listen what the speaker said. Only because
I happen to be an expert at a number of things,
I knew it was so critical for me to grasp
better understanding/feedback with
these people.

Since she refused to do this for me implying
that she got paid to interpret what the
speaker said ONLY, then I simply
refuse to hire her as an interpreter
ever again. I just fired her just like
that Donald Trump

Donald Trump ought to hire me to do
something secret for him...
