This question has been bugging me for the last 2 hours...

I just wanted to see your opinions on this.

In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster.
But in front of the person you like, you get happy.

In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring.
But in front of the person you like, winter is just beautiful winter.

If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you blush.
But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you smile.

In front of the person you love, you can't say everything on your mind.
But in front of the person you like, you can.

In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy.
But in front of the person you like, you can show your own self.

You can't look straight into the eyes of the one you love.
But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like.

When the one you love is crying, you cry with them.
But when the one you like is crying, you end up comforting.

The feeling of love starts from the eye.
But the feeling if like starts from the ear.

So if you stop liking a person you used to like, all you need to do is cover your ears.

But if you try to close your eyes, love turns into a drop of tear and remains in your heart forever ...

When it is like, you are afraid to say your opinions. When it is love, you are not afraid to say your opinions. With like, it is lust. With love, it is reciprocated love. (You get love returned back to you.) With like, you feel overwhelmed and your emotions are topsy-turvy. With love, you feel balanced and complete. Angel posted a very wonderful poem and it truly echoes what love is. Namaste, Angel. Thank you for posting that poem. With love, it does take us a long road to arrive at that "love" aspect. You do have to love yourself first before you love another.

like - definition of like by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Like
v. liked, lik·ing, likes
v.tr.
1. To find pleasant or attractive; enjoy.
2. To want to have: would like some coffee.
3. To feel about; regard: How do you like her nerve!
4. Archaic To be pleasing to

Love

1. To have a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward (a person): We love our parents. I love my friends.
2. To have a feeling of intense desire and attraction toward (a person).
3. To have an intense emotional attachment to: loves his house.

I think it is degrees of emotion, with love being the stronger of the two.

in my opinion... like is when ur comfortable with someone, or something and u can tolerate the bad and the good faults they have, n u can feel u like them.
love is when u care to the point that u cant feel, like u love ur family (its just like its part of who u are n u dont really feel it until theres a problem or there in danger)...they become part of u, an extension to urself. n u can say u like/love there faults, both good and bad.

Likes are for those who enjoys themselves a lot more than those who are in love when they are willing to give everything they have for nothing but love.
