I'm wondering what type of sign language do Aussies use and which books are the best to buy on Aussie sign because the Deafolympics is going to be held there soon. I'M aware that there are some members that is from that region. I have several friends going there and thought maybe I'll give one or two for christmas presents :)

It's called AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) -- I've been told and I agree, that BSL and AUSLAN are very similar in most areas of signs. :)
I'm not sure where you can get AUSLAN dictionaries overseas...I know of a few shops around here in Australia that sell the dictionaries for $32AUD.

Word of Mouth

or

Australian Communication Exchange

You can look around on both sites...more of the latter -- has more information about the AUSLAN dictionary, etc. :)
