a platypus is a mammal from northern australia which is an land based animal that swims in water with front webbed feet, regular hind feet with poison spurs in the legs, has fur, has a duck bill for a mouth, has a thick bever tail, lays eggs but milks the young thru boobs and has no teeth but eats only in the waters.. that mammal has survived for a million years as the crocodiles and anteater . Today there is only 400 platypus left compared to that of 40 years ago there was 5,000 platypus'es left. Yes its on endagered list and becomming exnict like the dodo birds and tasmania tiger . dont forget it also walks on land :P
