Ingredients
1 qt. strawberries, divided

1-1/2 cups boiling water

1 pkg. (8-serving size) or 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Brand Gelatin, any red flavor

Ice cubes

1 cup cold water

1 pkg. (12 oz.) pound cake, cut into 10 slices

1-1/3 cups blueberries, divided

1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed


Preparation
SLICE 1 cup of the strawberries; set aside. Halve remaining 3 cups strawberries; set aside.

STIR boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add enough ice cubes to cold water to measure 2 cups. Add to gelatin; stir until ice is melted. Refrigerate 5 minutes or until slightly thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).

MEANWHILE, line bottom of 13x9-inch dish with cake slices. Add sliced strawberries and 1 cup of the blueberries to thickened gelatin; stir gently. Spoon over cake slices.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm. Spread whipped topping over gelatin. Arrange strawberry halves on whipped topping for "stripes" of flag. Arrange remaining 1/3 cup blueberries on whipped topping for "stars."

yea Sabrina -- ive seen that recipe before -- never tried it :dunno: im so BAD at cooking :-x

and besides my best friend in the kitchen is the microwave aka the nuker! hahahaha :laugh2: :laugh2:

HAHAH thats not a secret LMAO! BUT u do make the best damn white cheese mac and cheese THOSE are DELICOUS... why not u post the ingredients for that ??? :-D

Don Hancey's Mum Connie's recipe as sent to troops overseas.

Degree of difficulty: Low

You need:

Half cup of sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut
1 cup plain flour
1-cup walnuts chopped small
1 cup dried apricots (walnuts and apricot amounts as much as you desire)

250 g butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
1 level tsp carb soda
2 tbspns boiling water



Method:

In a small saucepan melt butter. Add to hot butter the golden syrup. In a cup put the boiling water, and then add carb soda. Mix will fizz.

Add fizzing mix to hot butter mix. This should really fizz up.

Add this mix to dry ingredients. Using hands mix mixture well, forming into balls. Place balls onto baking paper on a baking tray. Using your fingers Push down a little to spread mix, then take a fork and press and indent.

Cooking time: 15 to 20 mins on moderate oven 160 degrees … Depends on your particular oven. Don’t over cook. What you are looking for is a nice golden brown colour…not dark brown.

As in all recipes make your own adaptations:
Some people add more walnuts; some people delete the apricots.
Enjoy!

Just had to share this recipe with everybody, it's a family meal feeds atleast 8 people and is delicious, can be expensive to make though.......

Chicken Fajita Caserole

2 lbs Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast
2 Cans Diced Tomatos w/Green Chiles(Rotel is good brand, size can 12oz.)
1 White Onion
8 oz. Sour Cream
1 Can Cambell's Cream of Chicken Soup(Regular Size)
3 Packages Shredded Cheese(Colby and Jack mix works best)
1/2 Dozen or so Flour Tortillas
Salt and Pepper

Preperation:
- Boil Chicken about 20 minutes. Pull apart or shred chicken when complete.
- Dice 1/2 White Onion or more(depending on your taste)
- Mix Diced Onion with 2 Cans Tomatos/Green Chiles and shredded chicken. Add Salt and Pepper to your taste.
- Mix Sour Cream and Cream Soup in seperate bowl.

In Large rectangle baking safe dish, layer Chicken mix sparingly until bottom is covered. Cover this layer with a few tortillas. Spread Sour Cream and Cream Soup mix on top of tortillas. Spread layer of mix cheeses on top and repeat steps until all ingredients are used(Should make generally 3 to 4 good layers, Cheese being final/top layer). Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Allow few minutes to cool before cutting and serving.
