World of Warcraft – The Internet is for Porn (English Closed Captions) on on

This is a music video, set to the MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW), by Blizzard Entertainment.

The sprites are played by Feyd (Trekki Monster), Sparkly (Kate Monster), Torash (Brian), Azereus (Princeton), lanos (Rod), and some other guy (Gary Coleman).

The song, "The Internet is for Porn", sang by Kate Monster (Stephanie D’Abruzzo), Trekkie Monster (Rick Lyon) and the Guys: Brian (Evan Harrington), Gary Coleman (Natalie Venitia Belcon), Rod & Princeton (John Tartaglia), is from the broadway musical "Avenue Q".

While captioning, I noticed some errors of in the video. Rod, Gary Coleman, Brian, and Princeton do not appear in the same order in the video, as they did in the original musical. In the musical, Rod, Gary Coleman, Brian, and Princeton appear one after another, respectively, and later in the song, Kate Monster acknowledges Rod, Brian, Gary Coleman and Princeton, in that order. In this music video, Kate Monster acknowledges them in the same order as the original musical, but they also appear in that order earlier in the video. This gave me a difficult decision to make, as a captionist. I could match the captions to the character sprites, but the audio wouldn't make sense; I could also match the captions to the character voices, but the video wouldn't make sense. I figured if I matched the captions to the audio, it is possible that the characters could be speaking off-camera, however, I figured the viewers of this video are more interested in World of Warcraft than Avenue Q, so I matched the captions to the video. I theorize Evilhoof and Flayed do not have very good hearing, since they were not able to decern the different voices, when making this video. I also attribute my theory to the fact that the credits for this video are incorrect. Princeton (Azereus) is credited as "Windston"; Rod (lanos) is credited as "Rha?", and Gary Coleman (some other guy) is not credited. It is also possible that Evilhoof and Flayed have ESL/EFL (English as a Second Language/English as a Foreign Language), since the TLD (top-level domain), the MMORPG World Of Warcraft website the original Goodle Video uploader credits, has a ".ru" extension, for Russia. The website itself, is also written in Russian.

Update: [VID] World of Warcraft – The Internet is for Porn (English Closed Captions)

I improved the captions for this video, by adding musical notes to indicate singing. Enjoy!
