That's not a good idea. A man I know here in town said he was assaulted by a truck driver where he used to work (he's retired now), because the (woman) driver thought he was ignoring her. She was told he was deaf and apologized to him, telling him she had a deaf son. Sounds like a customer that this business didn't need and he should have been told that the employee was deaf. If he didn't bend, employees, here especially in the USA, don't have to put up with anything anymore. I'd throw the bum AND his money out on his tailend, telling him that when he can act like a gentleman, he will be welcome back into the store.
