Actually that is close to what I have as oldest PC. Still running strong, but not use this as often as my new HP a810n that actually same brand of motherboard (Asus), apparently HP don't make their own computer, just bought from vendor and assembled then sell. Anyway, I have three PC total in my house, all have Asus motherboards, and the last two is AMD Athlon 32 and 64.

i try my best to describe a lot of stuffs - 4 PCs and 4 laptops
3 dell PCs -
1 - gx 260 with p4 2.0 ghz, 512mb ram, 40gb hdd - window xp MCE. it is connected to tv/lcd in kitchen.
1 - gx270 with p4 3.0ghz 512mb ram 15gb hdd(yes it is so small) xp MCE - it is connected to HDTV in living room
1 - dimension 8100 - p4 1.0ghz 786mb ram, 3 hdds, xp pro - but i turn it into media server with over 100 movies. u can select any movies streaming to watch in living room, your bedroom, or outside from that server. i m going to convert o/s to server element o/s in the future for test.

1 homebuilt PC - main PC for controlling everything around house - p4 2.8ghz.
1 Toshiba s35 - p4 M with 80gb hdd/512mb ram - going to sell.
2 dell e1505s - core 2 duo 1.6, window vista, 2gb ram, 80gb hdd, wireless n
1 compag amanda - p3 700mhz with 200gb/384mb ram.- going to sell.

one non PC is media player that is connected to another hdtv in our bedroom - mediagate mg35. it is a cool player. it can run movies streaming on it from media network.

my newest laptop is dell e1505 - that is my favorite toy. it rocks !

i put third party softwares into MCEs - MyMovies. it is a collection management and playback tool. it is just awesome. Vista does accept MyMovies. it works super. we enjoy watching our favorite movies in any rooms. :)

My motherboard is old Foxconn 761GXK8MB-KRS and I will buy a new mobo because this foxconn won't compatible to windows xp professiona and vista, only wins home edition. so I have to buy new a motherboard for good gaming.

My XP just crashed last week. I installed Vista Transformation kit :rl: and used it for a while then crashed. So I decided to install newest Ubuntu. My kids love it cuz it's stable but they couldn't play some certain game due to Shockwave player isn't out for Linux.

Windows XP Professional - that's the operating system I use :)

I chose not to use Vista at this stage, but maybe I'll install Vista later on when all of the bugs and glitches are fixed.
