Position: Software Engineer
Location: Rocklin, CA
Brief summary of duties:
Under general supervision and reporting to the Director of Technology will assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of video enabled applications and customizing cutting edge video conferencing system.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
The position is a high visibility required to develop and maintain a new video enable application, as well as additional technical responsibilities such as maintain web-based applications, and technical documentation of programming codes. Position requires experiences in video application programming and good understanding of object-oriented approach. Have clear and expressive communication skill and ability to understand visual and verbal communication in English. Ability to work independently and quickly while learning in a new environment. Work closely with company network and software engineers.
• Strong Programming design experience from project conception to completion
• Experience with in object-oriented programming for the presentation, middle, and data access tiers
• Experience with C# and VB.NET required.
• Experience with Visual Studio .NET
• Experience with .NET Framework required
• Experience with C++ and XML desired
• Proven understanding of video application functionality/features across the internet
• Consistent use of good coding practices
• Proven understanding of source control
Experience with the following a plus
• Relational database programming
• Understanding of H.323 and SIP protocols and feature sets desired
• XML
• SQL Server 2K5
• Cold Fusion
• IIS, Visual SourceSafe, Vault
• Programming for Macintosh platform
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Industry experience required.
