Skeptic Arguments and What the Science Says

Oh interesting, thanks for share.

I don't believe in liberal or conservative over global warming and it is pretty complicated to say.

Yep, the word is "believe". Me neither believe in this or that. "Climate skeptics" are the new fanatics...

I love that site. It is extremely well balanced and points out the fallacies that "global climate deniers" use.

Excellent link, Flip. I notice that those of us defending what science has to say about climate change almost never bring up Gore himself. Climate change is not a liberal or a conservative thing as it affects all of us. I'd rather read up on what science says as opposed to what leftists or rightists on the political spectrum have to say in order to make informed decisions.

To me, anybody who uses the term "denier" is not a legitimate voice in the global warming debate.

Bookmarked. Thanks! Weather extremes are occurring and that's sufficient evidence for me.

Person on the street report: Hurricane intensity is out of control. Hurricane Ike was unbelievable. I've been through several big hurricanes. Ike was something new both in size (lasted soooo long!) and intensity (wind!). Going through an intense hurricane would make believers out of some people.

What's the current winter storm like? Anyone snowed in today?

Denying is a legitimate term - if you deny that it's happening, you're a denier.

Can't anyone see that this is the sign of Time (end times)

<---- my point, you can have all the good articles and it wouldn't make a world a difference. Don't get me wrong, I believe human mess up everything they touch : Pollution, littering (water pollution), Pile of trash (who want to live next door to that?), etc. People getting sick and dying, and so on.

want christians to make a difference? Then stop arguing and convince them good servitude -- like helping the poor find jobs in recycling center and everything like that:

like this website is doing : WeGetIt.org - Caring for the Environment and the Poor, Biblically

Unfortunately, some people think it's a religious issue. It isn't. It's an environmental issue.

hard core capitalists do NOT care about environment - they are more interested in making bucks with little regard for social or environmental responsibility. Note that most "climate warming deniers" are funded by oil companies and economists, not climatologists.

Do you honestly think that those companies would be more "friendly" to the environment if not for laws we created? Hell no, they would have killed us off!

Based on the "evidence" we see here, it's definitely faith in work. Faith can make people enter a state of denial.

I don't see the point calling the spade something else than it is.

Good point, the only one that bring up Gore is deniers. Strange, because Gore is not a scientist, but a politican. Perhaps politicans are easier prey than scientists for deniers for some obvious reasons?

No wonder why so many people living in the arctics or the atolls in the pacific are begging the world to stop emissions and polution..

It is depends on situation, some does care, some don't.

Capitalist rocks, socialist sucks.

Welll...... some Christians are denier but they do believe man helped speed up deterioration of the Earth as they know that man corrupts everything he touches. This site can be a good thing.

In a way, this global warming teaching is a lot like evolution. We both know it exist . Christian do believe in evolution and such.. we rather call it adaption or micro-evolution.. but just to get them to believe in species that branch us off SLOWLY (little by little) to humans during a million years time period is an another story (I believe evolution began after the Garden of Eden.. and no doubt species do change, include ourselves. It is a bittersweet process as we can be blessed or cursed with physical traits -- due to Adam's fall, the curse is aim generally at all humans, not at the individual person. It's a random thing as if God put the Earth on automatic pilot control).

Just that We don't believe them what they think what happened in the past, and I don't think we believe them about what will happen in the future concerning Global Warming. I mean we do believe them to certain degree but it's a religious issue.

you probably believe that humans will not last forever as we probably extinct like dinosaurs, but the Earth will be ok unless the sun burns out.

Most christians I know in europe are evolutionists, going beyond adam and eva. I am not too familar with christianity in USA, but sounds like one have to believe everything started with adam and eva to label oneself as christian?

The site you linked to is promoting outdated denier books, that is debunked and not debated anymore, so can't agree more that we are talking religion here, not science.

As for the theory that man corrupts everything he touches, the scientifical name is entropy. Really interesting.

There's a religious movement in the USA called Fundmentalism among some Protestants in the USA; fundmentalist doctrine is that the bible is inerrant and that envolution didn't happen. The bible is to be taken literally and that it's infallable according to them. Many of these people are conservatives and want to ban the teaching of evolution in our schools. Small wonder we're behind in science. They've been a big force with the Republicans here in the USA during the 80s and the 90s.

Not all Christians believe in this kind of thing. Though I come from three generations of ministers on my father's side, I'm told that my grandfather Smith never was a fundmentalist. My father is a conservative but he has never agreed with the fundmentalists regarding the bible.

They only wanted to ban it because their tax money is paying and they made it a mandatory that children must be schooled. And not a lot of people can't afford private school nor they can do homeschool. Now if they would just allow vouchers, but they won't.

btw, I doubt every christians in your area believe in evolution either. I mean, Answer in Genesis visit other countries too, and they usually have plenty of people who are interested in them (I believe some of Answer in Genesis guys live in Australia).

Second here, I'm Christian and don't believe in evolution, even is creationism due difficult to believe in one side so I'm goes with both sides.
