At the November event there may be guest speaker for the Rape Crisis Center as well as information avalible about the Center with services for the Deaf/HOH. This is an effort to inform the Deaf/HOH population of statistics of violence and assistance availible.
Also at the event, attendees are invited to discuss any issues that they feel need attention in regards to the local Deaf Community/HOH. (Ex: Captioning at theaters, Accomodations, Education, Assistive Tech, Interpreter Services...). Local organizations whom offer services will also be discussed.
And of course Coffee and Signing!
