recycling disposable batteries?

I been using disposable batteries a lot lately since they last for a very long period of time, but I have a lot on my desk that are dead. How can I recycle them? Is there a proper way or can i just throw them into the recycle bin for the road?

I think most hearing aid dealers will take care of that for you.

check with RadioShack, I think they have some sort of battery recycling too?

Check this site: Earth911.com - Find Recycling Centers and Learn How To Recycle put in the city you live in, and it'll give you a list of places that recycle batteries (look for locations that list "other batteries".
